The first part of "Family with Children 1" uses the reorganization of the family as a platform for the story to unfold. Xia Donghai once followed his ex-wife to the United States to accompany him to work, returned to China with his 7-year-old son Xia Yu after divorce, reunited with his daughter Xia Xue, who grew up in China, and later married Liu Mei, the head nurse, who was also divorced and had a son named Liu Xing.
