On April 20, 2022, the CDC updated its guidelines: Travelers vaccinated with the "Anhui Zhifeilong Kema" vaccine can enter the United States through "vaccine exemption".
The U.S. CDC requires that nonimmigrant visa holders (B/C/F/J/H/L/M, etc.) who are 18 years of age or older must receive CDC-approved vaccines for at least 14 days before they can travel to the United States.

According to the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, until May 11, 2022 at 23:59 EST, the United States will allow U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, and certain non-citizens with visas leaving Shanghai, China, to travel to the U.S. without providing a certificate of negative COVID-19 testing or rehabilitation report.
This temporary policy applies to the following identities:
1. Nationals of the United States;
2. U.S. citizens;
3. Green card holder (U.S. permanent residency holder);
4. Immigrant visa holders (those who have completed the visa at the Consulate General And have not yet logged into the United States to activate the green card);
5. and accompanying citizens and green card holders with valid travel documents;
5 of them should include spouses/partners/children of 123 categories of persons who can also travel as long as they have a category B short-term visa that has not expired.
People from other countries, including U.S. citizen residents, are required to comply with CDC regulations when entering the United States, and this policy is exempt for those traveling to the United States from Shanghai alone.
