2014 Prada Feltrinelli Literary Prize Ceremony

On Monday, January 19, 2015, Prada announced the winners at the "Prada Journal: 2014 Prada Feltrinelli Literary Prize Ceremony" held at its headquarters in Milan.

The second edition of the Literary Prize, organized by Prada in collaboration with Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore, was launched on 11 April 2014 to continue to identify outstanding new writers.

The optical glasses created by the brand in collaboration with Luxottica are once again an important tool for exploring reality, and through the lenses, we can try to foresee the future and reflect on potential changes.

The spirit of inquiry is further broadened at this time, imagining, thinking, concepting—as long as it is formed and focused on words, it is accepted.

Participants are challenged to respond to questions posted on the prada official website www.prada.com/journal:

"What are the signs of a changing world? What scenarios can we envision? Look closely at the details, and maybe it will give us the answer. ”

More than 20 stories written in different languages are judged by a jury of leading figures in the international literary world. This year's judges include: Shanni Tishani Doshi, Carlo Feltrinelli, Paolo Giordano, and Colum McCann.

The three winners of the literary prize are Viola Bellini, Miguel Ferrando and Anabel Graff, each of whom will receive a prize of 5,000 euros; The special commendation award was given to Alejandro Morellon.

The winning stories, written in their native language and translated into English, have been included in the 2014 Prada Journal Literary Competition – Symbols of World Change. The collection can be downloaded online from January 20 at the www.prada.com/journal.

The ceremony opened at 7 p.m. with actors Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller and Filippo Timi reading the winning work. The ceremony was presided over by Dane DeHaan.

DJ Frdric Sanchez was responsible for creating the scene music for the event.
