In July 1985, Deng Jiaxian rushed back to Beijing to attend the meeting, and General Zhang Aiping saw that Deng Jiaxian was not in a good mood, and personally called the hospital to ask for a doctor to receive treatment, which was finally determined to be a malignant tumor. After 4 days, the hospital urgently arranged surgery, and the postoperative pathological diagnosis was: diffuse, middle and advanced, and poor prognosis.
This scientist, who made immortal contributions to the new China's national defense industry, passed away with full of honor and infinite love and remembrance for his family.
