Cross the Vines Valley

author:Talk to yourself

Hello friends! I am very happy to accompany you on the trekking tour of The Yueteng Luo Valley, I am the living Li of this expedition, call me Teacher Li. The phone number is..., WeChat signature has my phone, can not remember in the WeChat group can be found.

The road we are going to conquer today is called the "Vine Valley".

It is one of the valleys in the mouth of the Nine Valleys of Huairou White Spring Mountain. The mountain here is called Baiquan Mountain, which means that there are more springs in the mountain, and the valley here is also washed by these springs and rainwater. At 340 meters above sea level, the slope is relatively gentle, but the mountain road is slightly narrower and not easy to walk, which is an unexplored natural landscape.

The erosion of rainy mountain torrent valleys can also cause landslides, all of which will pass through the terrain that was once left by landslides on our way.

The road was relatively normal in the valley just today, and when we really stepped into the valley, we would experience what a trekking adventure was. The first thing that tested us was a stone array, the stones were of different sizes, and it was a foot flat and a foot oblique, and a little carelessness was a bad foot. Therefore, each of us should be doubly careful during the hike, pay attention to safety, and do not chase and fight.

Cross the Vines Valley

We have just given each of us a cane, and then our tutor will explain the correct use of the cane. Sentient Tutor! .........

I just told you about the difficult side of hiking vines and valleys, so is there a fun side here? The answer, of course, is yes.

Since it is called Vine Lotus Valley, it means that there are many vines here, and the vines here are also very special.

What's so special about it?

The wisteria we see in our park is called the wisteria rose, and this season is when the wisteria flowers are in full bloom, and the wisteria flowers are full of branches and fragrant. What does the vine we see in the park look like now? Are there more flowers than leaves, and smooth branches? In a moment, the vine we are going to see has the same leaves as the wisteria, and the difference is greater elsewhere. So far, the vines here have only grown leaves on the tips, and the flower spikes have not yet shadowed. And it grows in a different way from other plants, it grows like a snake, shedding its skin every time it grows, and now there is still bark on the branches that will fade. The largest old vine here has the thickness of a bowl and is coiled on a large tree, like a big dragon with dragons and grandchildren coming out to bask in the sun.

Cross the Vines Valley

In addition to the vine, there are many other kinds of plants, including trees, shrubs, mosses, ferns, etc., in short, in addition to no algae plants, seven of the eight major species of plants in nature can be found here.

In addition to the cane, we also give each little pot a white box, which is used to store the seeds you collect during the hike. See what strange seeds the little pot friends can find.

In a moment, every time I walk to a place to rest, I will introduce you to a vine plant. If you have plants here that you are particularly familiar with, you can also share them with everyone.

I am a few plants that are commonly found in urban areas here and cannot be seen.

The first one is called "pear bump". It is characterized by water ripples on the leaves. Its roots can be a rider string, and dads will love it.

The second type is called "elderberry". Bloom small white flowers. Listen to the name and guess that it can be used in medicine.

The third most fun is called "bar willow". The leaves are like the leaves of a willow tree. It is characterized by its fruit, long and pointed, like a large steel needle. When the fruit is dried, it will burst open, and the seeds inside carry a small umbrella, and the fruit will float away like a dandelion.

Let's go now and see who can find them first! Let's go!

Cross the Vines Valley

Now we have a break in the spacious place.

Let me see what seeds you've all collected? I found that almost all the children collected the seeds of morning glory.

Morning glory is one of the most common climbing vine plants in nature, also known as trumpet flowers. Have you ever wondered why it's called morning glory?

Legend has it that during the Song Dynasty, there was a farmer named Li Hu in Henan who suffered from a strange disease, his body was puffy, and he did not look favorably with many langzhong. Seeing that Li Hu's body was swelling more and more severely, her wife was also very anxious, asking everywhere where there was a good langzhong, this day Li Hu's wife heard that there was a divine doctor in Luoyang City, Xijing, and her medical skills were so clever that she could cure the disease. They all said that he was "hua Tuo's reincarnation". So the husband and wife came to Luoyang to find a divine doctor.

The divine doctor gave Li Hu a pulse and said, "To cure your disease, you need to boil water with a wildflower seed, and you can get better in half a month." The wife asked, "Where are these wildflowers?" The divine doctor said: "This kind of flower is easy to find, it is everywhere, the flowers bloom like a small trumpet, there are a few in my backyard, you go and pick it!" ”

In just a few minutes, the divine doctor sent Li Hu and his wife away, and the medicine fees were confiscated. The couple collected some trumpet flower seeds and half-believedly went home to boil water for Li Hu to drink. After about ten days, Li Hu's puffiness seemed to be light, and after another four or five days of drinking, Li Hu's puffiness really disappeared. The husband and wife were very happy. In order to thank the divine doctor, the couple discussed giving the old scalper in the family to the divine doctor! Saving grace an old cow is nothing. So Li Hu led the old scalper to the home of the divine doctor, and the divine doctor saw that Li Hu had been cured, and his heart was also very happy, but the old scalper refused to accept it, only saying, "Your illness is not a serious disease, but you have not found Langzhong who really understands medicine, and lead the cow back!" I don't need it either. Seeing that the divine doctor insisted on not accepting it, Li Hu had no choice but not to force it. But he also wanted to know what kind of medicine the divine doctor prescribed to him, so he asked the divine doctor, "What is the name of what you want to prescribe?" This medicine saved my life and I don't know what it was! The doctor looked at him and looked at the cow and said, "You are drinking the seeds of morning glory." So this trumpet flower has the name of "morning glory".

Do you know how morning glory climbs trees?

In fact, there are roughly four ways to grow climbing vine plants:

The first is that they grow a lot of long whiskers, and the long whiskers are small hands, and after catching the host, they shrink into a circle and tightly grasp the host. Loofahs, cucumbers, and peas all belong to such climbing vine plants.

The second is that it will grow a lot of qi roots on the branches, and these qi roots will firmly sink into the gap of the host, achieving the purpose of climbing. For example, the green lotus, ivy, and lingxiao flowers raised in our home all belong to this kind. In the south there is a particularly exuberant vine that grows in air, and the roots that grow on the shelf are like waterfalls. Some people also use its root as a curtain, and even give it a nice name called "a curtain of dreams". This vine is "Jinping vine." "It's a typical aerogenic rooting class.

The third is to grow a small hand with a suction cup on the branch, and use the small suction cup to adsorb on the climbing object. Have you ever seen a climbing vine like this? That's right! It's the climbing tiger.

The fourth type is the most common and primitive, which is to climb up with branches coiled around. Like the morning glory we just said, and the vine in the vine valley, all belong to the fourth kind.

On the next journey, let's find out what kinds of climbing vine plants are in the vine valley?

Now let's go!

Cross the Vines Valley

Let's rest here for a while!

What strange things have you found, children? I found out that a child actually found the willow!

This is a shrub that is close to a vine crawling vine and can grow about two meters. The fruit clips and branches and leaves have a white milk. The most interesting thing is its seeds, each with a small umbrella, and the wind blows and runs away.

The single willow-like seedlings on our way here are the seedlings of the willows.

Did you pinch the branches of the vine on our way here? Pinch it and think it's soft? When we got back to the city, we went to pinch the branches of the wisteria in the park to see what was different.

When it comes to vine plants, the most common one is wisteria. In our old Beijing city, there are two wisteria trees that are more than two hundred years old.

A tree in the Palace of Gong on the side of regret. There is a courtyard called "Duofuxuan" on Gongwangfu East Road, which is characterized by bats carved everywhere on the windows and doors, but the most beautiful and attractive thing is a wisteria in the courtyard. It is said that this wisteria tree was planted by the great corrupt officials and lords of the Qianlong Dynasty during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. This time of year is the most vigorous time for wisteria flowers to bloom, and the purple flowers are in full bloom and the fragrance is very beautiful.

The other tree is next to the Liuli Factory, also a wisteria tree of more than two hundred years old, at the entrance of Ji Xiaolan's Yuewei Caotang, there are stone tables and stone benches placed under the rattan, which is the most beautiful scenery of the street. It is said that this wisteria was planted by Ji Xiaolan himself. And the wisteria tree also supports a restaurant, and the photo cuisine of this restaurant is made from wisteria flowers.

These two wisteria trees are similar in age, equally famous, and when the flowers bloom, they are also different from each other, and they are very energetic in life, and they do not look decadent at all.

We know that He Yan and Ji Xiaolan are two people who are officials in the same dynasty, and in the film and television drama, we also see these two people fighting each other when they are alive, and they always can't tell who wins and who loses. Unexpectedly, the wisteria planted by these two people has not stopped fighting for the flower queen for two hundred years. Is this also a soul prelude to He yan and Ji Xiaolan?

Cross the Vines Valley

Wisteria is a plant that is very popular among Beijingers, especially in the courtyard of old Beijing City. What is the standard of the old Beijing courtyard? It's called "Canopy Fish Tank Pomegranate Tree, Mr. Old Dog Fat Guy." "This canopy refers to the climbing vine plant, and the first choice of the rich and noble is to plant a wisteria, followed by grapes."

People like wisteria for a reason, not only because wisteria blossoms are beautiful, but also because the meaning is also beautiful. First of all, purple represents "purple qi comes from the east, good things are coming", and the wisteria flower itself also symbolizes beauty and happiness.

Have you ever wondered why it's called wisteria? Is it called wisteria when it blooms purple flowers? Is the one that blooms white flowers called white vines? The one who blooms yellow flowers is called yellow vine? The one who blooms black flowers is called black vine?

In fact, the name wisteria refers to the variety of this plant, even if it can cultivate a hundred colors, it can still only be called wisteria. Because white vine, yellow vine, and a red vine called red vine and it is not a species.

First of all, the white vine, the white vine is not hardy, it does not live in the north, it can only live in the south, so we can't see it in the north. It is characterized by long branches, which can reach a maximum of about 400 meters. It is the longest of all vines and is known as the "King of Vines".

We have a common furniture in southern China called rattan furniture that is made of white rattan. The most high-grade rattan furniture uses white rattan is not of the highest grade, and the top rattan furniture uses "agate vine", and the color of the branches is as smooth and beautiful as agate.

And then there's the yellow vine. Yellow vine and red vine are somewhat similar, their seeds are very characteristic, the size of the head and hand string beads are comparable, usually used to string into a hand string, the seeds of the red vine are like bodhi seeds, the yellow vine is more beautiful, there are many small bumps on the surface, like the legendary golden toad, all the seeds of the yellow vine are also called "golden cicadas". These two estimates are more liked by dads.

I have just introduced you to the "king" of Fujinaka, but unfortunately we can't see it, but in this valley there is a vine called the "queen" of Fujinaka, and we can see that its name is "Clematis".

For the next journey we'll look for Clematis and see who can be the first to find it! Let's go!

Cross the Vines Valley

Children, you see, in front of us is the largest vine in the valley, it is the "overlord" in this valley. Use your imagination and tell me what it looks like.

We're here with The Vine King.

The next stop we're going to is the last stop on the trip. All the way here, do you think that there are few traces of artificial development on this road? Even because there are fewer people coming, there is still a piece of ice that has not melted? This is the characteristic of the Vines Andro Valley, so that people who come here are immersed in the most authentic natural scenery.

The beauty of the Vines Valley is more than that, there are rhododendrons in the spring, vines that shade the sky in the summer, maple leaves that cover the valley in autumn, and majestic ice waterfalls in winter.

Now that the cuckoos are withering and the vines are not full, we can only see the water waterfall! All right! Let's go! Look for waterfalls!

Finally found the waterfall, let's take a photo together!

We're here to take a break and take a break on the way back.

Cross the Vines Valley

Kids, have you found your baby here? What do you see I catch in the waterhole? I found a leaf, this leaf has no flesh and only leaf veins, and it is still a leaf with complete veins, isn't it amazing?

Why did the leaves become like this?

In general, there are two main reasons for this phenomenon.

One is that the leaf flesh is eaten by insects. However, when the insects eat, they will also eat some leaf veins. The part that remains will not be very complete.

The leaves here are obviously not eaten by bugs.

The second reason is that the leaves are soaked in a liquid containing calcium carbonate for a long time, and over time the fleshy part of the leaf is decomposed and only the veined part is left. Moreover, the leaf veins are relatively intact. Comparing the leaves here is very much in line with the second reason.

Calcium carbonate belongs to a mineral, and the main ingredient in the calcium tablets we eat is calcium carbonate, which is beneficial to the human body. The spring water here should also contain calcium carbonate, indicating that the water quality here is relatively good.

Children can find a leaf with a complete vein to take home. When you get home, you can also do a small experiment, melt the calcium tablets at home into the water, soak a few old leaves on the tree, soak for a longer time, and see if you can soak the leaf flesh.

Here we should summarize. We have learned a lot of vines along the way, are some of the characteristics of these vines worth learning and learning?

Let's see if there is a disadvantage that cannot be changed in the vine plant, the branches are soft and difficult to grow, and if there is no climbing object around it, it can only grow creeping. If its growth range is blocked by the canopy of trees, will it slowly wither? Is it not its weakness to not grow upright?

When it evolves the ability to climb, and can use the body of tall trees to replenish the sunshine all the way up, does it turn weakness into an advantage?

Is this skill of turning weakness into advantage worth learning?

Cross the Vines Valley

And we come to see the trees, growing tall and big, but in the face of strong winds, are the branches easy to hang up by the wind?

Let's look at the vine plant when it encounters a strong wind, will it flutter with the wind and break the wind with soft branches, right? So after the high winds we don't see the vines hanging off their branches.

Can this vine be said to be "soft and rigid"?

If you see a dress you really like at the mall or you see a gift you've been thinking about for a long time and want to buy, go home and ask your mother for money. When you get home and find that your mother has just left work and just happened to have just entered the house, how can you do it smoothly to make your mother willingly pay for it?

Directly want a high success rate? If the mother does not give money, will the mother give it? Crying and crying is even more difficult, and if you don't get it right, you will invite a good beating, right?

If you change the method, your mother just got off work, let your mother feel resting on the sofa, help your mother pour a glass of water, rub your mother's shoulders, and then praise your mother so little, what mother you are getting younger and younger, more and more beautiful such words, and then say to my mother that I am optimistic about a dress. Is this success rate going to be higher?

Vines have this quality of Yrukegang, is it worth learning?

alas! Has anyone found the "Queen" clematis in the vine that we were looking for before?

Hahaha! I'm sure you won't find it, because! This plant is only found at the entrance of the valley, and there is no such thing as it is inside. I'm afraid that you will be bored on the way back, and you will be a little tricked.

We should not slacken off on the way back and be sure to pay attention to safety.

We walked across a small natural stone bridge and on the way back to see who could find it, I had another reward.

Let's go!
