From slum to world champion! Charles Oliveira's Championship Road

author:Top for fighting enthusiasts

Born on October 17, 1989 in the slums of São Paulo, Brazil, Charles Oliveira was diagnosed at an early age with an abnormal heart murmur and rheumatoid arthritis, which doctors at one point showed could have deprived him of basic standing ability. This was the darkest time for him, his parents chose to work in the field in order to earn him enough medical expenses, waking up from the hospital every day with no one around to talk about the pain, until the age of 11 Oliveira was discharged from the hospital, but the doctor still advised him not to do physical exercise.

As a child, Oliveira loved football, and injuries did not kill him. He began to be exposed to jiu-jitsu, and his hard work and talent quickly earned him the first gold medal in his life.

Oliveira officially entered the boxing gym for training at the age of 12. Maybe it was to change his life against the sky, or it could be that he really fell in love with the sport and he began to work hard to train. But heaven often likes to joke, and bad news comes when everything is moving in a good direction. At the age of 14, Oliveira received bad news from his family that his father had been accidentally shot and killed. This was even more fatal for the ill-fated Oliveira.

Not being able to hit him will only make him stronger!

When Oliveira was young, his father gave each of his brothers a stone and told them that it was the stone that David used when he defeated Goliath in the bible Samuel. To this day, Oliveira still wears him by his side, which has become a source of strength and faith.

With the strength of this belief, he worked even harder to cut through the thorns. At the age of 18, he officially became an MMA mixed martial artist, relying on his own strength and unchanged original intention to play 12 consecutive wins and was swept away by the UFC

Originally, UFC Oliveira chose the sub-middle welterweight but in this weight he did not have an advantage, so he chose the lightweight but the performance did not feel eye-catching, so he was relegated to the featherweight. However, due to the excessive weight gap between weight and featherweight in life, he failed to lose weight several times, so he returned to the lightweight level. At this point, he began his journey towards the championship

Ten years Rio Rivera eight defeats eight consecutive wins ten best bonus fourteen surrenders ended sixteen times and won the UFC's highest number of surrenders record, ten years of fighting finally let him usher in the championship.

Oliveira played against Chandler, in the first leg of the game Oliveira was beaten by Chandler to bleed, but Oliveira was not insisted, but in the beginning of the second leg, the two sides exchanged punches to test each other, Oliveira's front fist beat Chandler to the toe, Oliveira followed closely behind the punch. With the referee's shout-out Oliveira took Chandler TKO to the championship!

When the gold belt was put on Oliveira's body, he cried, and he cried with joy! He stroked the gold belt around his waist, and he managed to go from the nameless boy in the slum to the lightweight champion, and only he knew how hard his journey was.
