At that time, cauliflower seeds on the mainland were almost monopolized by foreign companies, and 90% of hybrid seeds were imported.
In order to change this situation, Sun Deling began to accompany the stubble of broccoli through the spring, autumn, winter and summer, trying to breed varieties with independent intellectual property rights. After 30 years, Sun Deling and his team have cultivated 26 varieties of cauliflower with independent intellectual property rights in series such as "Xia Xue", "Fenghua" and "Jinpin", which have been promoted to more than 20 provinces across the country, with a cumulative promotion area of more than 8.5 million mu and new economic benefits of more than 5 billion yuan.
"Now our domestic cauliflower seeds can account for 85% of the market share, we have our own breeding of cauliflower seeds, and export about 10,000 catties of cauliflower seeds to Pakistan and other countries along the 'Belt and Road'." Sun Deling said.
