Fan Weiqun: Famous and great craftsman Zhuo Er is not a | keeping artist

He was born in the artisan family, and was the fourth generation of the "Great Life Kettle". He studied under a number of famous teachers, Wu Tongfen, Ji Yishun and Xu Hantang, and was the son of a generation of purple sandsmiths.

He is an excellent purple sand artist who has created more than 100 new purple sand products and has been recognized inside and outside the industry.

He is the "leader" of the post-2000s purple sand exhibition held in China and overseas, and has been promoting and communicating and disseminating purple sand culture for many years.

He took root in the countryside, founded the "Fanjia Huzhuang", established the "Xiwang Purple Sand Ceramics Professional Cooperative", taught hundreds of apprentices, promoted the progress of the purple sand industry, and made the responsibility that the contemporary outstanding purple sand people should have.

Today, the "Shou Artist" is talking to Fan Weiqun, a master of arts and crafts in Jiangsu Province, a master of ceramic art in Jiangsu Province, and a teacher who enjoys special allowances from the State Council in the purple sand industry.

Today, Fan Weiqun has entered the purple sand industry for 37 spring and autumn. Pulling open a long resume, each paragraph is exceptionally dazzling.

"I have an innate advantage, as soon as I make a teapot, I get started quickly, but more thanks to the care of the teachers and the care of the elders", as a descendant of Fan Dasheng, he inherited the spirit left by the sages, under the care and careful teaching of many teachers, the production techniques and creative techniques improved rapidly, and he showed his talent in purple sand making art very early.

Fan Weiqun, 15, was the youngest apprentice in the purple sand factory, and at the age of 17, he obtained the title of technician, making him the youngest technician in the purple sand industry that year.

In his 20s, a number of new products he created were successively selected to participate in exhibitions in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, which were deeply loved by merchants.

Moreover, because of his high innovation and design ability, he has participated in the design and production of purple sand gifts for large-scale events such as "06 ASEAN Expo", "08 World Expo" and "2009 Asian Games".

New products, refined shapes, unique styles, exquisite craftsmanship, he was the most potential young potter in the purple sand industry at that time.

The young man was successful, but he still walked steadily. In the years that followed, he stepped forward to higher peaks.

When he became a senior engineer and a provincial master, he was still the youngest artist to obtain these titles at that time.

His works are well-known at home and abroad for their exquisite craftsmanship, shape and beauty, and deep rhyme, and "fans" are all over the major provinces and cities in China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and all over the world. It has won dozens of professional ceramics exhibition awards, and has been collected by the British Museum, the American Ceramic Museum, the Korean Museum, the Zhongnanhai Purple Light Pavilion, and the National Military Museum.

Handsome in appearance, a faction of everyone's style, his own ideas and original intentions under the camera.

Today, his works have two main lines: one is inheritance, based on historical works as the prototype, the second creation; the other is innovation, which has reached more than 100 new products, and the creation inspiration is enviable.

"My innovative style is diverse, not stuck to one type", because over the years for the instrument, type, style, decoration have been clear, his innovation is very easy, not limited to the type, nor any decorative techniques, "my creative language is relatively broad, there are completely modern, lines, shapes, there are also traditional pot type with new art, decoration, there are also emerging creation of carving, clay painting, gold inlay and other crafts."

"Because purple sand is a work that constantly integrates other crafts and cultures to meet different levels, different cultures and different people", in "Fan Jia Hu Zhuang", there are artists and craftsmen from different industries who come and go every year to exchange and collide with each other, and there are also artists and sculptors who live here, enriching Fan Weiqun's works and culture.

Or perhaps because of this, the market recognition of his works is very high. There was even a strange effect: whenever Fan Weiqun had a new product, the "same" pot would quickly appear on the market, and the sales were often good.

In the contact with Fan Weiqun, we felt the humility of a master, "To keep learning and making progress, no one dares to say that they have reached the peak." It is even more necessary to continue to innovate and constantly enrich the connotation and vitality of the work."

With a wide range of knowledge and vision, Fan Weiqun realized very early that the spread of purple sand culture is inseparable from external promotion.

Therefore, he has successively participated in exhibitions in Hong Kong and Macao and major cities in China. In 2001, he went to Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing to participate in art appreciation and tea culture expositions.

Later, he stepped out of the country and became the first batch of "leaders" to actively promote purple sand culture. In 2004 and 2005, he went to Korea twice to hold the Purple Sand Pot Art Exhibition, the Purple Sand Pot Art Demonstration Meeting and the Purple Sand Pot Art Hobby Exchange and Promotion Meeting, which was warmly welcomed and loved by Korean pot friends. Later, he went to the United States, France, The United Kingdom, THE European Union countries, Japan, Singapore and other countries and Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao to hold purple sand works exhibitions, promote exchanges, and make positive contributions to promoting purple sand culture.

His efforts have also been affirmed by governments at all levels, and he has been awarded the honors of "National 100 Rural Prosperity Leaders" and "National Model Worker in Light Industry".

In the process of foreign exchanges, he realized that the production mode of purple sand should take the initiative to change, connect with the world, and take the road of branding. Therefore, he inherited the style of the sages and founded the "Fan Jia Hu Zhuang", which opened a new model for Zisha.

"Fan Jia Hu Zhuang" is open, if you want to make a pot, you can come to learn. Not only fan Weiqun himself poured out his own teachings, but also often invited well-known predecessors to point out the axe. It is a medium, as long as the craftsmanship is excellent and the works are of high quality, you can connect with the market through FanjiaHuzhuang and obtain better income. It is a ship that takes the peasant craftsmen out of the village to touch the world.

Later, Fan Weiqun responded to the government's call to set up the "Xiwang Village Purple Sand Ceramics Professional Cooperative", taking more villagers and taking the giant ship of rural revitalization and sailing together.

In our exchanges with many purple sand artists in Xiwang Village and surrounding villages, many artists, especially those with poor families, still miss, "The enlightenment of making pots is Teacher Fei, thank you for his public welfare study class for allowing us to learn crafts and have a new way out."

In Fan Weiqun's view, "craftsmen, whether in life, thought or creation, should be free", "they must have culture and vision, have their own sense of professional honor, and be able to rely on their superior skills to live an elegant and quality life".

"What I hope more is that through our generations of efforts, the purple sand will be carried forward." In the future, purple sand culture will not only stay on the tea table, but also become a way of life and integrate into the great Chinese culture."
