The occurrence of the case has made Chinese students hostile in Japan. Why did the three international students act this way? What kind of tragedy did they cause?
Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is the largest city in Kitakyushu, Japan, with a population of more than 1.5 million. On 20 June 2003, a fishing boat near the port terminal accidentally salvaged two bodies while collecting nets. Soon, an important clue came into the police's field of vision. On the morning that the body was found, an old man reported to the police that his son Shinjiro Matsumoto's family was missing.
The old man told the police that just the night before, the daughter-in-law came to his house with two children and stayed until 8:30 p.m. before leaving, and it was absolutely impossible to leave suddenly without leaving any information.
The identification of the remains is very fast, the four bodies salvaged on the dock are the Songbei family, so who would do such a cruel act to this family of four, even the children?
After determining the identity of the deceased, the police conducted a meticulous investigation of the Matsumoto family, and based on the footprints on the floor of one bedroom, it was speculated that the murderer may have entered the room through an unlocked window and then committed the crime.

Just a month after the police announced the surveillance and portrait, news came from a local Japanese language school in Fukuoka, and students reported that the person in the portrait looked very similar to one of his classmates, Wang Liang.
Combined with the surveillance footage provided by the owner of the sex shop, the police believe that Wang Liang is indeed very suspicious, and the deceased Qianjia's nails have the DNA of the murderer, as long as the comparison can confirm whether Wang Liang is related to this case.
According to the police investigation, Wang Liang is a native of Changchun, Jilin Province, only 21 years old, with good family conditions, came to Japan a year ago to study, studied at this language school, and plans to enter a university in Japan.
But Wang Liang's grades are very poor, and he is a bad teenager in China. After arriving in Japan, without the constraints of his family, he was even more lawless. He claimed hegemony among Chinese students and repeatedly beat his Chinese classmates. In May 2003, Wang Liang was expelled from a language school for beating up his classmates.
Normally speaking, Wang Liang is no longer a student, has no legal status, and should return to China, but he has not returned to China and has been stranded in Japan. Wang Liang also contacted his roommate at the language school and shared an apartment less than a kilometer away from Matsumoto's house, the police got the news and immediately rushed to this apartment, but wang Liang and his roommate had already left.
The police realized that something was wrong, immediately inquired about the entry and exit records, and sure enough, two days after the crime, Wang Liang and his roommate had already flown back to China.
Wang Liang's roommate is named Yang Ning, he is still in school, why did he suddenly run away with Wang Liang?
In the process of investigating the case, there was evidence that it was a gang that committed the crime, so it can be seen that this Yang Ning is likely to be Wang Liang's accomplice. Yang Ning is also a native of Changchun, Jilin Province, 23 years old, his academic performance is better than Wang Liang, at this time has been admitted to a private university in Japan, the two have known each other when they were in Changchun.
After Wang Liang came to Japan, he went in and out of various entertainment venues in Japan all day long. Yang Ning was still quite honest, and also did some part-time work during his time in Japan to subsidize tuition fees. But the friend is the shadow, and slowly Wang Liang takes him not to learn no techniques, and the two eat, drink and gamble together, bullying classmates.
Originally, Yang Ning had been admitted to a Japanese university, but he applied to the university for a one-year suspension on the grounds of physical problems, and fooled around with Wang Liang in Japan.
The police found a lot of hair in the apartment they rented, and compared the dander in the female victim's fingernails with the DNA of Wang Liang and Yang Ning, and the result was completely consistent with Yang Ning's. Wei Wei is a 24-year-old native of Xinmi, Henan, who joined the army after graduating from high school, studied Japanese in China for a year after retiring from the army, came to Japan to study in 2001, failed to pass the examination for two consecutive years of fashion university, and had to be admitted to a Japanese short-term university to study computer science. Wei Wei practiced sanda when he joined the army and won a place in provincial sanda competitions.
In February 2003, after Wang Liang met Wei Wei in an Internet café, he often asked Wei Wei for advice on fighting skills, and became acquainted with him after a long time. In March 2003, Wei Wei and two of his partners robbed 260,000 yen from Chinese students. He once punched and kicked a female student for trivial matters, and after the girl called the police, Wei Wei was detained for several days, leaving a case file in Japan.

An urgent investigation by the Japanese police found that Wei Wei had no departure record and that he was still in Japan. Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Wei Wei, who was preparing to board a plane, at Fukuoka Airport in August 2003.
Wei Wei was arrested without saying a word, refusing to answer any questions. The police extracted Wei Wei's DNA and compared it, confirming that he was one of the murderers of the Matsumoto family. On August 19, 2003, two months after fleeing back to China, Wang Liang was captured in Liaoyang. Wang Liang was well aware of his heinous crime and took the initiative to confess the course of the crime and the whereabouts of his accomplice Yang Ning. A week later, Yang Ning was also captured in Beijing. So far, the three people who committed the massacre in Fukuoka have been arrested one after another, so why did they do something to the Matsumoto family, and what did they do?

Who can be the target of the crime?

At his suggestion, the three decided to target the Matsubei family, and each of them prepared a series of tools needed to commit the crime, and acted at 23:00 on June 19, 2003.
When they arrived at the door of The Pine Gate, they did not see the Mercedes-Benz and knew that the man was not at home. The three of them quietly entered the room through the window, and when they came in, they found that someone in the bathroom on the first floor was taking a bath, and when they went up to the second floor, they saw that Matsumoto Haigen and Matsumoto Watercress had slept, and speculated that the bathroom should be the hostess.
Yang Ning and Wei Wei were responsible for controlling Matsumoto Chika, while Wang Liang went to the second floor to watch the two children and prevent them from waking up and making a big fuss. Breaking into the bathroom, seeing a completely naked Chika, the two of them moved their evil thoughts and violated her. After that, Wei Wei grabbed Qianjia's neck and pressed her head into the bathtub until Qianjia stopped breathing.
The two left the bathroom, rummaged through the Matsumoto house, found only a small amount of cash and bank cards, and went up to the second floor to meet Wang Liang. In the face of the two children, Wang Liang proposed to first solve the Matsumoto Haigen sleeping on the bottom bunk, and then take the Matsumoto yanke on the upper bunk as a hostage, and then force the man to ask the password of his bank card after returning, and then solve them all.
After killing Matsumoto Hagen, Yang Ning woke up Matsumoto's yankee on the upper bunk, covered her mouth with tape, and then handcuffed her hands to the living room to wait for Matsumoto Shinjiro to return home.
At 01:40 a.m., Shinjiro Matsumoto drove to his home, and Yang Ning and Wang Liang, who were in the house, heard the sound of opening the door and put a knife on Matsumoto's neck. Shinjiro Matsumoto opened the door and saw the situation, so he dropped his bag and walked to the two with his hands raised. The three rummaged through Matsumoto's backpack, found a small amount of cash, and threatened to ask his daughter for his bank card password, Matsumoto Shinjiro hurriedly explained that although he lived in a big house and drove a luxury car, but the business was very poor, it had reached the point of exhaustion, there was no money at all, and asked Wang Liang to let go of his daughter, and the car and the valuable things at home could be taken away.
The three of them saw that Matsumoto was still unwilling to give money at this time, and in a fit of anger, they strangled the eight-year-old Matsumoto's watercress to death in front of him. Knowing that his wife and son had died and witnessing his daughter's death, Matsumoto Shinjiro looked at the three with hatred and never spoke again.
The three punched and kicked her, smashed her with dumbbells, and beat her to death until Matsumoto was shocked and did not reveal any information in the past. Realizing that things might have gone wrong, the three of them tied the family of four in handcuffs together, dropped dumbbells to deal with the scene, wiped the blood, loaded them into a Mercedes-Benz car, and came to Hakata Bay in Fukuoka City, where they threw the family of four into the sea when there was no one around.
The three then drove the Mercedes to the outskirts of Kurume. Afterwards, the three of them liquidated and killed the Matsumoto family of four, and finally grabbed 37,000 yen.
The money was only enough to buy a plane ticket to China, and for such a small amount of money, the three of them caused such a tragedy that even two children did not let go.
All three thought the bodies were handled perfectly, and even if the family were found missing after a while, it would be difficult to trace them. On January 24, 2005, Yang Ning was sentenced to death, Wang Liang was sentenced to life imprisonment for turning himself in, and in 2017, Yang Ning was executed.
In May 2005, Wei Wei was sentenced to death by the Fukuoka District Court in Japan, and Wei Wei appealed. In 2011, Japan's Supreme Court rejected Wei's appeal and upheld the death sentence.
On December 26, 2019, after 16 years in custody, Wei Wei, 40, was executed in Japan.
