When Chen Yinke succeeded in his studies abroad, he returned home with honors and became a tutor of tsinghua research institute, his reputation grew day by day, and he was widely respected by colleagues in the academic community. Therefore, every time Chen Yinke gave a lecture, in addition to the students, because he envied the breadth of his knowledge and the high talent, Wu Yan, Zhu Ziqing and other well-known professors of Tsinghua University came to listen to the lectures, so Chen Yinke had the reputation of "professor's professor". According to Luo Jialun, who studied in Berlin, Germany, with Fu Sinian and Chen Yinke, recalled: At that time, the general trend of Chinese students studying and the atmosphere of studying were mostly "first bo and then specialized", the desire for knowledge was extremely strong, and each had the ambition of academic achievement. "Among his friends, Chen Yinke went from philosophy, historiography, philology, and translation of Buddhist scriptures to the study of Tang history and Central Asia and West Asia, and there were sixteen or seventeen languages and scripts for his reference and use.
Judging from the 64 surviving chen yinke study notes, in addition to Sanskrit and Pali at that time, Chen also studied Tibetan, Mongolian, Manchu, Turkic, Huijiao, Korean, Hindi, Russian, Persian, Hebrew and other languages. According to Chen's re-disciple Andreen, the Taiwanese scholar Chen Zhe Sanyun: "Chen Yinkehui is dead, and there is no need to speak Latin, such as Sanskrit, Pali, Manchu, Mongolian, Tibetan, Turkic, Western Xia, and Middle Persian. As for the English, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Greek languages, not to mention, even the Hungarian Mazar language is understood. In the face of various theories, Chen Yinke's nephew Chen Fengxiong later declared more modestly and peacefully: "Generally speaking, he can read 14 languages, speak 4 or 5 Chinese, and understand 7 or 8 languages. These results were basically achieved by the time he turned 36. Chen Yinke, who was studying in the era of study, said to himself: "Yin Keping has been studying in his life, and he is not willing to follow the team one by one, but is the queen of cattle." This is his ambition, and it is also a state that he deserves.
