After driving to Fujimi City in Saitama Prefecture, the car stopped in a moon-bound parking lot surrounded by a community. On August 6, 20 hours later, Yoshiyuki Oide's body was found by surrounding residents, while Kishima disappeared.
Police found: 1. There were no signs of fighting on Yoshiyuki Oide's body, and his face was serene. 2. At the foot of the passenger seat, there is a charcoal stove with 7 pieces of charcoal in it, all of which have burn marks, and 24 bags of accelerant.
An autopsy revealed that he had goulash in his stomach and that he contained alcohol and sleeping pills. Further tests revealed that the sleeping pills in his body were derived from three different prescription sleeping pills.

Kishima's case, heard by the Saitama Prefectural Court, included three murder charges and multiple cases of fraud and theft. According to Kishima's statement, the two of them quarreled in the car that day and agreed to break up, and then Daigo didn't know where to park the car, and then Kishima took a taxi and left, and according to the testimony of the driver of the taxi in which Kishima left that day and the vehicle operation records, the time Kishima sat in the car coincided with the time of Daito's death. The surveillance outside the parking lot also showed that Kanae Kishima had left the parking lot alone that night, but unfortunately there was no monitoring inside the parking lot.

Sentencing Process:
On April 13, 2012, after more than 100 days of trial, the Saitama Prefectural Court sentenced Kishima to death. In the afternoon of the same day, Kanae Kishima filed an appeal.
On March 12, 2014, the Tokyo High Court upheld the judgment. On the same day, Kishima appealed again.
On April 14, 2017, the Supreme Court held a final verdict in the Mujima case: the death penalty was determined.
