Vivo released the second self-developed chip V1+, which integrates image and display functions

Tencent Digital News On April 20, Beijing time, Vivo held a technical communication meeting and launched its second self-developed chip V1+. The chip is both an image chip and a display performance chip, becoming the first multi-functional self-developed chip developed by domestic manufacturers. Vivo announced at the press conference that the first model of the chip will be the X80 series of new machines.

It is reported that the V1+ chip has the characteristics of good scheduling, fast speed and high energy efficiency, and the three major algorithms of 3D real-time stereoscopic night scene noise reduction, MEMC interpolation frame and AI super-division are hardware-packaged, and the data throughput speed can reach up to 8GB/s, under the blessing of SRAM, the energy efficiency is increased by about 300%, and the power consumption is reduced by about 72%. In terms of game performance, V1+ uses the GT2.0 upgrade algorithm to split the overloaded threads at multiple levels to achieve the effect of performance and power balance; at the same time, GPU Fusion uses the AI computing power of mediaTek APU to jointly complete the screen rendering of the game and release the GPU load.

In terms of imagery, V1+ has carried out more in-depth fine tuning for night scene video, and realized the polar night video function of less than 1lux environment with video noise reduction algorithm. V1+ adopts polar night noise reduction algorithm to achieve motion prediction and compensation, combined with the chip's own high-speed, low-power extreme-speed memory management system, with the camera module, main chip and vivo self-developed algorithm to improve, so that the mobile phone becomes a "night vision". In addition, V1+ extends the black light night vision function to the front and wide-angle lenses, covering all scenes in the full focus range of the whole time, comprehensively improving the camera and video capabilities of the mobile phone.

At the same time, Hu Baishan, executive vice president of Vivo, used a large amount of space to introduce the collaborative development of Vivo and MTK's latest flagship chip Tianji 9000 at the communication meeting, so the X80 series should have at least some models equipped with Tianji 9000 chips.
