Yang Liwei was born in Suizhong County to a family of scholars, his father was a college student in the last century, he was a teacher earlier, and then he did administrative work in an agricultural and sideline products company in the county, and his mother taught Chinese at a middle school in the county.

When he was 18 years old, Yang Liwei was in his third year of high school in Suizhong County, and happened to encounter the Air Force To fly, and he thought that the opportunity to soar in the blue sky had come, so he resolutely signed up. His excellent results, coupled with the strong physique trained by his father in outdoor activities, made Yang Liwei easily pass the selection procedure of the Air Force Recruitment and Flight Office, and was admitted to the Eighth Aviation School of the People's Liberation Army Air Force, officially becoming an Air Force pilot cadet.
Yang Liwei soared into the blue sky as he wished, which was the first major turning point in his life, allowing him to successfully transform from a student to a revolutionary soldier who defended his family and country.
After 4 years of studying in aviation school, Yang Liwei has solidly mastered flying skills and understood flight theory, and successfully graduated from the aviation school in 1987 and became a fighter pilot in a division of the Air Force. Coming to the combat unit, Yang Liwei flew for ten years, flying from north China to the northwest, from the northwest to the southwest, and the blue sky of the motherland almost left his healthy figure.

At that time, there were 1500 outstanding pilots selected, eliminated through extremely strict selection procedures, and finally only 14 people were left, fortunately, Yang Liwei's various inspection indicators reached excellent, and he was successfully shortlisted for the first batch of astronauts on the mainland.

On November 3, 2011, the "Space Post Office" of China Post was officially opened in Beijing Space City, and Yang Liwei, who no longer performed space missions, was hired as the first director of the Space Post Office, setting a precedent for astronauts to serve as the director of the Space Post Office.
