The Embassy announces the latest requirements for returning to China

Today (April 16), the Chinese Embassy in The New Zealand issued a notice on adjusting the requirements for remote prevention and control.

According to the relevant requirements and combined with the actual local situation, the following adjustments are made to the pre-departure testing requirements for flights departing from Singapore to China, and passengers are requested to comply with them.

I. Adjust the type of health code review and issuance

Due to time constraints, the Embassy is unable to check the ART test certificate within 6 hours before boarding, in order to remind the airline to check the relevant materials before boarding, the blue health code will be issued to passengers to China who need to undergo ART testing at the airport from April 20 (Wednesday), and passengers will check in with the blue health code and the negative ART test certificate.

Second, adjust the testing requirements for temporary flights and charter personnel

The pre-departure testing requirements for passengers taking temporary flights and charter flights to China are adjusted to: nucleic acid testing on the 7th day before departure, self-isolation and health observation on the 7th day before departure, nucleic acid and serum (if available depending on vaccination conditions) on the 2nd day before departure, and nucleic acid testing within 12 hours before departure.

III. Adjust the screening process for those who have been diagnosed

Cancel the lung X-ray/CT test during the screening process for confirmed patients. The screening process is now two nucleic acid tests with a 1-day interval (should be cross-conducted at different testing institutions, and a two-dimensional code test certificate should be provided), and the nucleic acid test should be on the 3rd and 1st day before the submission for review. For example, if it is planned to be submitted to the embassy on Thursday, the two nucleic acids should be done on Monday and Wednesday and it is determined that the test certificate can be obtained on Thursday, and the test materials need to be sent to the designated mailbox of the embassy on Thursday, and there is no delay.

Fourth, other requirements for the format of test certificates, vaccination vouchers, direct flights, travel history, and procedures for personnel with a history of infection remain unchanged.

The current epidemic situation is not over, and the relevant personnel should continue to do a good job of non-emergency, non-essential, and non-travel. If you really need to go to China, please pay attention to the relevant tests in advance, prepare the vaccination certificate, pre-departure isolation certificate and other materials in advance, and apply for a health code immediately after getting the test results and proofreading. The Embassy will further strengthen the review of health codes to ensure that passengers who meet the boarding conditions can obtain health codes in a timely manner. Lancet Publication: The Appearance of Omikeron

More sore throat, less brain fog and other symptoms

On April 7, The Lancet magazine published a British study showing that the same vaccinated patients, The Omilon infected people had milder symptoms than those infected with Delta, with significantly fewer symptoms such as brain fog and a significantly lower proportion of patients who needed to be hospitalized.

The embassy issued a document adjusting the requirements for flying to China; compared with Delta, the pain of the throat in Aumequeron increased by 55%, and symptoms such as brain fog dropped significantly

Investigators collected data on symptoms of COVID-19 patients between June 2021 and January 2022, defaulting to Delta infection from 1 June 2021 to 27 November 2021 and Omilon infection from 20 December 2021 to 17 January 2022.

4990 people were taken in each of the two groups, and the two groups of personnel had the same proportion of men and women, the same ethnic ratio and the same age distribution, both from 16 to 93 years old.

The proportion of the doses vaccinated in both groups was the same, with 79% of the two doses and 21% of the three doses.

The report has several key findings:

From the appearance to the disappearance of symptoms, delta infected people experienced an average of 8.89 days (SD 5.04), while those infected with Omi kerong were 6.87 days (SD 5.21), and the duration of symptoms was reduced by nearly 2 days.

2. 19% of Delta infected people have comorbidities, and 13% of Omikerong infected people have comorbidities.

The main symptoms of Delta infected people include: runny nose (81.6%), headache (77.9%), sneezing (70.7%), sore throat (60.8%), loss of smell (52.7%)

The main symptoms of the Omikerong infected person include: runny nose (76.5%), headache (74.7%), sore throat (70.5%), sneezing (63.0%), persistent cough (49.8%), hoarse voice (42.6%)

Specifically, compared to Delta infected people, Omikeron infected people had fewer of the following symptoms: loss of smell, olfactory variation, sneezing, runny nose, headache, fever, brain fog, tinnitus, and dizziness; however, sore throat symptoms increased by 55%, and hoarseness increased by 24%.

5. Those who have been vaccinated have a 25% lower risk of hospitalization in Omi kerong than those in Delta.

Singapore review of the outbreak on 15 April

Singapore's Ministry of Health reported that as of 1200 noon on April 15, there were 3,404 new confirmed cases, including 3,291 local cases and 113 imported from abroad, with a total of 1,155,581 cases.

The embassy issued a document adjusting the requirements for flying to China; compared with Delta, the pain of the throat in Aumequeron increased by 55%, and symptoms such as brain fog dropped significantly

Among the new local cases, there were 4 cases of guest dormitories and 3287 cases of local communities.

A total of 84,258 cases of guest dormitories, with a positive rate of 26.09%, a total of 1,040,403 cases in local communities, with a positive rate of 19.33%, and an overall positive rate of 20.26%.

Considering that many ART antigen self-test positives are not reported, the overall positive rate is definitely higher. The higher the positive rate, the closer it is to herd immunity.

The seven-day mobile growth rate of indigenous cases remained at 0.75, the same as the previous day. We judge that the growth rate will gradually recover to 1.0.

In the past 28 days, there have been a total of 155,113 confirmed cases in Singapore, of which 99.7% are asymptomatic/mild, 0.2% require ordinary oxygen, 0.02% are ICU severe, and 0.04% die.

Among the new confirmed cases yesterday, 400 (12%) tested positive for PCR and 3004 (88%) tested positive for ART antigen.

The Singapore Ministry of Health has repeatedly pointed out that only positive ART antigen tests done at designated testing centers are counted in the statistics; a large number of self-testing positive cases are not counted as confirmed cases, and the number of infections is actually higher, so the confirmed data do not reflect the comprehensiveness of the epidemic. The authorities base their policies on severe illness and death, as well as the risk of a run on medical resources.

The overall case fatality rate of 1 additional death case yesterday fell to 0.113%

The Ministry of Health reported a new death last night, of the elderly in their septuagenarians or above, who died on 15 April.

The embassy issued a document adjusting the requirements for flying to China; compared with Delta, the pain of the throat in Aumequeron increased by 55%, and symptoms such as brain fog dropped significantly

The cumulative number of deaths was 1310, and the overall case fatality rate fell to 0.113% from 0.114% the previous day.

Divided by the type of strain, Singapore experienced the original virus wave, entering Delta Wave last year and now the Opicron Wave. The Singapore Eye begins with Omikron waves on 6 January, and analyzes the case fatality rates of these three waves as follows:

The embassy issued a document adjusting the requirements for flying to China; compared with Delta, the pain of the throat in Aumequeron increased by 55%, and symptoms such as brain fog dropped significantly

The above is a rough division of three periods by the time of each wave of the epidemic. The case fatality rate remained at 0.055 per cent, the same as the previous day.

The above-mentioned Opmi Kejung Wave is only a rough division of the Singapore Eye, and some of the deaths are infected with the Delta strain, but the time of death occurs during the Opmi Kejung Wave, so we still classify it as the Opmi Kejung wave statistics.

As of 15 April, the vaccination rates of singapore's population and the vaccination status of patients at all levels on that day were as follows:

The number of severely ill ICU patients increased to 10

There were 10 people in the ICU intensive care unit, an increase of 1 from the previous day; the occupancy rate of the ICU ward was 2.9%.

The embassy issued a document adjusting the requirements for flying to China; compared with Delta, the pain of the throat in Aumequeron increased by 55%, and symptoms such as brain fog dropped significantly

According to age, 6 people over 70 years old (+1) and 4 people over 60 years old (=); the numbers in parentheses are compared today and yesterday.

According to the disease, 3 people were observed for oxygen infusion, and 7 people were intubated for critical illness.

The embassy issued a document adjusting the requirements for flying to China; compared with Delta, the pain of the throat in Aumequeron increased by 55%, and symptoms such as brain fog dropped significantly

The number of ordinary oxygen transfusion patients decreased to 32 and the number of ordinary hospitalized patients increased to 238

There were 32 patients with ordinary oxygen transfusion, 2 fewer than the previous day.

Ordinary oxygen patients use ordinary isolation wards and masked ventilators, which are noninvasive, do not need to establish artificial airways, and do not have intubation.

There were 238 ordinary patients in the isolation ward, an increase of 9 over the previous day.

0.8% of Delta infected patients need oxygen, and less than 0.3% of Omikeron infected patients need oxygen.

There were 113 imported cases from abroad

Imported cases increased by 113 yesterday, accumulating 30,920 cases.

The embassy issued a document adjusting the requirements for flying to China; compared with Delta, the pain of the throat in Aumequeron increased by 55%, and symptoms such as brain fog dropped significantly

If there is no mutant virus with faster transmission, it is believed that in the next six months, imported cases from abroad will fluctuate up and down in the range of one or two hundred cases per day.
