The Embassy announces the latest requirements for returning to China
Today (April 16), the Chinese Embassy in The New Zealand issued a notice on adjusting the requirements for remote prevention and control.
According to the relevant requirements and combined with the actual local situation, the following adjustments are made to the pre-departure testing requirements for flights departing from Singapore to China, and passengers are requested to comply with them.
I. Adjust the type of health code review and issuance
Due to time constraints, the Embassy is unable to check the ART test certificate within 6 hours before boarding, in order to remind the airline to check the relevant materials before boarding, the blue health code will be issued to passengers to China who need to undergo ART testing at the airport from April 20 (Wednesday), and passengers will check in with the blue health code and the negative ART test certificate.
Second, adjust the testing requirements for temporary flights and charter personnel
The pre-departure testing requirements for passengers taking temporary flights and charter flights to China are adjusted to: nucleic acid testing on the 7th day before departure, self-isolation and health observation on the 7th day before departure, nucleic acid and serum (if available depending on vaccination conditions) on the 2nd day before departure, and nucleic acid testing within 12 hours before departure.
III. Adjust the screening process for those who have been diagnosed
Cancel the lung X-ray/CT test during the screening process for confirmed patients. The screening process is now two nucleic acid tests with a 1-day interval (should be cross-conducted at different testing institutions, and a two-dimensional code test certificate should be provided), and the nucleic acid test should be on the 3rd and 1st day before the submission for review. For example, if it is planned to be submitted to the embassy on Thursday, the two nucleic acids should be done on Monday and Wednesday and it is determined that the test certificate can be obtained on Thursday, and the test materials need to be sent to the designated mailbox of the embassy on Thursday, and there is no delay.
Fourth, other requirements for the format of test certificates, vaccination vouchers, direct flights, travel history, and procedures for personnel with a history of infection remain unchanged.
The current epidemic situation is not over, and the relevant personnel should continue to do a good job of non-emergency, non-essential, and non-travel. More sore throat, less brain fog and other symptoms
On April 7, The Lancet magazine published a British study showing that the same vaccinated patients, The Omilon infected people had milder symptoms than those infected with Delta, with significantly fewer symptoms such as brain fog and a significantly lower proportion of patients who needed to be hospitalized.
Investigators collected data on symptoms of COVID-19 patients between June 2021 and January 2022, defaulting to Delta infection from 1 June 2021 to 27 November 2021 and Omilon infection from 20 December 2021 to 17 January 2022.
4990 people were taken in each of the two groups, and the two groups of personnel had the same proportion of men and women, the same ethnic ratio and the same age distribution, both from 16 to 93 years old.
The proportion of the doses vaccinated in both groups was the same, with 79% of the two doses and 21% of the three doses.
The report has several key findings:
From the appearance to the disappearance of symptoms, delta infected people experienced an average of 8.89 days (SD 5.04), while those infected with Omi kerong were 6.87 days (SD 5.21), and the duration of symptoms was reduced by nearly 2 days.
2. 19% of Delta infected people have comorbidities, and 13% of Omikerong infected people have comorbidities.

Singapore review of the outbreak on 15 April
Singapore's Ministry of Health reported that as of 1200 noon on April 15, there were 3,404 new confirmed cases, including 3,291 local cases and 113 imported from abroad, with a total of 1,155,581 cases.

Among the new confirmed cases yesterday, 400 (12%) tested positive for PCR and 3004 (88%) tested positive for ART antigen.
The Singapore Ministry of Health has repeatedly pointed out that only positive ART antigen tests done at designated testing centers are counted in the statistics; a large number of self-testing positive cases are not counted as confirmed cases, and the number of infections is actually higher, so the confirmed data do not reflect the comprehensiveness of the epidemic.
