The National Library of China has four legendary special collections, namely the "Dunhuang Testament" found in the secret room of the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, the Buddhist treasure book "Zhao Cheng Jinzang" requested by Guangsheng Temple in Shanxi during the Yuan Dynasty, and the "Yongle Dadian" and the "Four Libraries Complete Book" officially compiled by the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Among them, the "Yongle Canon" was written in the sixth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, with a total of 22,877 volumes, 11,095 volumes, and more than 370 million words, which are combined with ancient and modern times, preserving various knowledge of China's historical geography, technological inventions, literature and art, religion and folklore before the Ming Dynasty, known as "the largest encyclopedia ever in the world", which is an important symbol and brilliant treasure of Chinese culture. Since 2018, the National Library has selected some treasures of the Yongle Classics to display to readers, and in June 2021, the exhibition "Zhu Huan Hepu, The Return and Reconstruction of the Yongle Classics" was officially opened to the public in the second exhibition hall of the National Museum of Classics.
