In April 1984, Widodo followed his father out to hunt butterflies as usual, only to find that on his way home, he suddenly saw a very strangely shaped butterfly on a lilac tree.
This butterfly is not the same as most of the butterflies that Widodo usually sees, and the butterflies we generally see are often symmetrical left and right, but the wings of this butterfly are actually heterochromatic, and the butterflies with heterochromatic wings on the left and right are very rare in nature, and only one in every 10,000 butterflies may appear.
Yin and yang butterflies
Butterflies with heterogeneous wings we usually call it "yin and yang butterfly", which is the so-called hermaphrodite butterfly, and everyone knows that the sex of the butterfly is mainly determined by the sex chromosomes in its nucleus.
In general, male butterfly cells will have two z chromosomes, while female butterflies are one z-type and one w-type chromosome, if a fertilized egg containing zw chromosome accidentally loses the w chromosome during the initial division, it will form a hermaphrodite condition.
Therefore, when Widodo saw this "yin and yang butterfly", he was very excited, he immediately asked his father to stop, and said that he wanted to get out of the car to catch this butterfly, but he was immediately stopped by his father, who explained:
This yin-yang butterfly is usually highly toxic, because the two wings of the yin-yang butterfly are asymmetrical, resulting in their flight, speed and durability are difficult to compare with other butterflies, so in order to survive, this yin-yang butterfly evolved a toxin to protect itself.
However, Widodo still insisted on getting out of the car to catch, no way, the father saw that his son liked this butterfly so much, and worried about his son's situation, he had to get off the car to help him catch it, although the whole process was extremely arduous, in order not to damage this yin and yang butterfly, Widodo's father did not dare to directly take the net pocket to pounce.

In 1986, Zhang Shengyong, a famous collector of insect specimens in Singapore, found Widodo and bought the yin-yang butterfly specimen for $100,000, equivalent to about 640,000 yuan.
So why is this yin and yang butterfly worth so much money? It turns out that this yin-yang butterfly is not an ordinary yin-yang butterfly, but a very rare heavenly yin-yang butterfly, which is only found in New Guinea, Papua and several small islands around Indonesia in the world.
