Governing the mountains

In 2009, Liu Zuzhi accidentally passed through the mountain of Yantang Town and saw that a continuous mountain forest was seriously damaged by the ice disaster, and the broken trees and branches stretched for about 100,000 mu. This scene made him feel sad and sorry for many years of forestry work. The next day, Liu Zuzhi took people into the mountains to investigate, and drew a blueprint in his mind: planting trees, eliminating barren mountains, and turning barren mountains into green gardens.
"This idea has not been understood and supported by relatives and friends, who feel that the investment in agriculture and forestry is large, the cycle is long, the effect is slow, and even some friends say that I am a crazy person, and the only one who supports me is my father." Mr. Liu said his first problem was how to persuade villagers to circulate land.
Land is the lifeblood of the peasant. When some old people heard that they wanted to circulate the land, they patted their thighs and shouted: "To sell land is to sell the ancestors!" Another voice questioned: "Can the mountains still make money?" "What will the boss do in the future?" At that time, there were more than 10 meetings in the village, and the villagers' concerns were still not dispelled.
Liu Zuzhi led the staff, invited the village cadres to testify, and went door to door to solve their doubts: the mountain is circulating, not sold, it is always the village collective and the villagers; the circulation rent is directly paid to the villagers' accounts; the villagers can work in the garden for a long time and realize employment at the doorstep of their homes... "If the above conditions are not fulfilled, we will roll up and leave." ”
"The idea of sharing the dividends of mountain and forest development has won the trust and support of the villagers." In 2010, Liu Zuzhi led the staff to dispatch dozens of excavators into the mountains, hung up the banner of "eliminating barren mountains, planting trees and afforestation", and turned more than 10,000 mu of barren mountains into park scenic spots in half a year.

Enrich the people

Liu Zuzhi led the team to create a total scale of more than 100,000 mu of agricultural industry and more than 200,000 mu of leisure agricultural tourism industry, will also introduce the most advanced domestic tea finishing equipment, the construction of an annual processing of fresh leaves more than 20,000 tons of tea processing production line and fruit, flowers and other processing lines, the formation of a first, second and third production of the whole industrial chain, and strive to promote Yantang Town to become a national rural revitalization demonstration town, tourism strong town.
Liu Zuzhi, who has won honors such as "National Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation" and "National Poverty Alleviation Award Dedication Award", said that it is necessary to further improve the local living environment through the construction of parks and scenic spots, promote the construction of beautiful villages, and realize the transformation of agriculture, the beauty of rural areas, and the wealth of farmers.

Liu Zuzhi is a member of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and often provides advice and suggestions for forestry development, rural revitalization and rural revitalization. After years of practice, Liu Zuzhi and his team have formed six precision assistance models: migrant employment, land circulation, entrusted assistance, farmers' professional cooperatives, village-enterprise cooperation, and public welfare donations to ensure that villagers can get rid of poverty and not return to poverty.
