In the school, Cheng Fuchun, who has been teaching for 26 years, has studied hard and carefully, and is the backbone of physical education and research that integrates knowledge and action; outside the school, he has obtained two high-quality certificates of national referee in athletics and speed skating national referee step by step, which can be called "learning bully".
From athletics to speed skating, what remains unchanged is love
Since graduating in 1995, Cheng Fuchun has been struggling in the front line of physical education, he is full of passion for his work, and always wants to enrich the students' extracurricular life through some sports competitions. Organizing sports competitions must understand the rules, so Cheng Fuchun slowly liked to study the rules, often participated in some referee training and examinations, and has been keen on refereeing work ever since. In 2003, Cheng Fuchun passed the Beijing Athletics National Referee Selection Examination, and in the same year, he participated in the Athletics National Referee Promotion Examination and successfully advanced with the first place.
In 2015, Beijing's successful bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics means that Beijing is about to become the first "double Olympic city" in the history of the world, and everyone in China is excited. For Cheng Fuchun, who is engaged in the sports industry, this incident simply made him ecstatic. He became interested in snow sports and often watched some speed skating competitions. Watching the athletes wield freely on the track, Cheng Fuchun felt the speed and passion charm of the speed skating project, and when he encountered the rules he did not understand in the competition, he always went online to find relevant information for research. Later, Cheng Fuchun had the idea of becoming a speed skating referee, so he studied the rules more seriously, successfully passed the speed skating level I and the national referee exam, and finally got his wish and became a national referee for speed skating projects.
Whenever he looks back on his own refereeing experience, Cheng Fuchun always has a joy in his heart. From the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2015 Athletics World Championships, to the 2018 Changchun International Skating Federation World Speed Skating Sprint Championships, the 2021 "Meet in Beijing" Speed Skating Test Event, he realized the transformation from the track and field to the speed skating field, and felt the same excitement in different venues.
Work hard and practice the rules in the game
In the process of participating in the examination of large and small referees, Cheng Fuchun's results are excellent, thanks to his spirit of research. In Cheng Fuchun's view, theory is the foundation, every detail can not be let go, we must try to figure it out, so as not to be overwhelmed by sudden problems. The choreography and lottery rules of the speed skating competition are a difficult point for the referee to learn, although it is not the focus, but Cheng Fuchun feels that he must find out all the problems, so he constantly goes to study, after he understands clearly, he also tutored the referee in the same dormitory before the exam, and everyone gave him a thumbs up.
Cheng Fuchun insisted that referees must learn a little deeper, especially in international competitions, sometimes not only look at the rules Chinese, but also look at the original English text, understand and understand the rules thoroughly. This is also due to Cheng Fuchun's better English level, when he was in college, he liked to learn English, and he has always insisted on it after work, and basically does not lose points in English every time he judges take the exam.
Since becoming a national speed skating project referee in 2016, Cheng Fuchun has continuously served as the speed skating referee of several domestic leagues and series of championships at home and abroad, and with the guidance and help of the referee, Cheng Fuchun has continuously deepened his understanding of the rules, accumulated valuable practical experience, and greatly improved the self-confidence and ability of the referee.
The referee is hard, but the heart is full of pride
Engaging in speed skating refereeing is very hard, the game often lasts a long time, and the whole game needs to be highly concentrated, but this is a different kind of happiness for Cheng Fuchun. Every time he completes an accurate penalty, or a referee that satisfies an athlete, every time he sees the national flag solemnly raised on the field, his heart will be full of pride.
Speed skating project has the characteristics of high speed, has high requirements for the quality of referees, speed skating referees should have strong adaptability, good observation ability, high concentration, and familiar with referee rules, otherwise it is easy to have problems in the process of refereeing. There was a game that made Cheng Fuchun realize this very deeply. In a five-kilometer speed skating competition, the "double shot" taken, due to the relatively large gap in the level of athletes, may occur when changing lanes. At this time, it is not easy for the referee to determine which athlete should skate which lane, which is very likely to cause a misjudgment. However, Cheng Fuchun successfully completed the task in the complicated competition situation and won the affirmation of his predecessors, which made him feel very accomplished.
Talking about his expectations for the future refereeing career, Cheng Fuchun hopes to continue to study and learn, make up for shortcomings, and make his own contribution to the Beijing speed skating refereeing cause through his own efforts. At the same time, he hopes that with the Winter Olympics as an opportunity, Beijing can cultivate a group of high-level speed skating referees, through a series of influential events, let more people understand the speed skating project, and also look forward to the speed skating project can emerge more high-level talents to win glory for the country.
