Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Jilin Province, the First Hospital of Jilin University has sent more than 1,700 medical nurses to the frontline of the fight against the epidemic. As a nurse in the nursing platform of the pediatric ICU department of the hospital, Li Xiaoyu stuck to the back of the hospital while caring for his colleagues who worked day and night in front. Over the past few days, she has used her rest time to create a number of paintings dedicated to medical staff on the frontline of the fight against the epidemic.
Li Xiaoyu said that the work depicts 9 different kinds of flowers, representing hope, tenacity, luck and other meanings: Junzilan is the flower of Changchun City; the rose is the flower of Jilin City; the spring flower represents hope and strength; the Yumei people represent miss and condolence; the Gesang flower represents happiness and tenacity; the peach blossom represents beauty and blessing; the carnation represents beauty and miss; the clover hope and luck; and the daffodil represents happiness and reunion. In this way, she wants to cheer up the medical staff in front of her and wish them a safe return as soon as possible.
