Singapore, March 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Singapore's "Jazz Diva" Dong Ziyan and DingYi Troupe presented two unique "Happy Spring Festival - New Year Concert 2018" at the Chinese Cultural Center in Singapore on the 4th.

Dong Ziyan participated in "China New Song 2", and at the concert, she sang the songs "Simple Love" and "I Want Your Love", and reproduced a classic performance imitating a trumpet. Finally, she added a jazzy "New Year".
Dong Ziyan told reporters that this is her first time working with the Chinese Orchestra and she feels very excited and happy. The arrangement and sound effects of the Ding Art Troupe are great.
The concert was conducted by Huang Deli, assistant conductor of the Ding Art Troupe. The opening track , Snake And Bee War Dance " is a clever blend of Russian composer Lemsky Korsakov 'Wild Bee Dance" and Chinese composer Nie Er's "Golden Snake Dance". The "Chinese New Year Suite", presented in the form of a Chinese music ensemble of four New Year songs, "Ying Chun Hua", "Spring LianHong", "He New Year" and "Congratulations and Congratulations", creates a strong festive atmosphere.
Soprano He Caixia presented the classic Chinese folk songs "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau" and "Mountain Songs Are Like Spring River Water" and the theme song "Distant Love" of the TV series "Qiao Family Courtyard", while DingYi Troupe Ruan player Zeng Jingwen and cellist Xu Junxiang brought the chamber music "Courtyard After the Rain" and "Xuan Shuo" respectively. Among them, "Xuan Shuo" was specially composed by the young composer Zhong Zhiyue for this concert.
"Happy Spring Festival - Chinese New Year Concert 2018" was jointly organized by DingYi Troupe and Singapore Chinese Culture Centre, and this year has entered the third session, and Fang Xinwen, interim chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, and Shen Ying, Senior Minister of State of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore, enjoyed the performance on the evening of the 4th.
