So, the one who loves you, buys peonies and plants them outside the courtyard door. The year my son graduated, he bought six peonies and planted them in my little garden. Since the small garden was behind a house, the sunlight did not shine for too long, and the peony only survived three plants. In 2018, it moved into its current residence and relocated three peonies to its current small garden, planted in the south and northeast corners of the garden. Two peonies died, and now only one peony remains in the northeast corner of the garden.

Last year, this peony had a bud and a flower, big, bright Chinese red petals, golden yellow flower heart, which made me very happy. However, due to the long and lush branches of the lingxiao flowers, roses and honeysuckle next to it, which block the sunlight of the peony and absorb the nutrients of the soil next to it, the peony does not grow very large, and after the blossom is the silence of the three seasons of summer, autumn and winter.
Years ago, I still sealed the peony with soil to protect its roots, and put it on a thicker plastic bag to protect its buds. This spring, when the weather is warm, I remove the plastic bag. Peony rusty red buds gradually grow, the leaves are green and full of vitality.
I don't know when the buds grew between the dense green leaves, and the round buds did their best to grow freely. Peony flowers bathe in the moisture of wind and rain, accept the caresses of the sun, smile and greet the harmony of the spring wind, grow up, grow up, and finally grow up.
On a sunny afternoon, a peony slowly unfolds and blooms a beautiful smile. Peony's smile amazed the time, warmed the years, and filled my heart. The next day, the peony bloomed completely, revealing a golden flower heart, facing the sun and receiving people's attention.
As the first peony opened its heart, another peony blossomed. This flower is not as simple as the first flower, but shows red and white petals, and some even have red and white colors on one petal. It is even more colorful, enchanting, lively and cheerful.
Then, the third, fourth, primary five, and primary six successively began the journey of spring. They all opened the door of their hearts, began to understand nature, accepted the beauty of the world, bees came, butterflies lingered, and more were neighbors who passed by, walking into my house, just to see the beauty of this peony.
