Although he also has a 65% duga fusion, this keyboard focuses on retro styling, which is better than the appearance. The shaft body is a silent red shaft of cherries, but the feel is really meaty. Want to change the shaft body yourself, Duga Fusion does not support hot plug, soldering is too troublesome, so finally ready to start a keyboard that can support hot plug 65% of the row.
Most of the 65% of the keyboards on the market, mostly compact, all the keys are not separated, anyway, I think it is a little not very good-looking, personally think the highest value should be zoom 65 and Keychron Q2. With a knob in the upper right corner, the letter area and other buttons have a separation, 3 auxiliary buttons that support customization, the value is really very high, and the texture of the aluminum lump is also good. But the characteristics of the aluminum lump is that the price is expensive and only wired mode, although the latest ZOOM65 can use dual-mode connection, but the price of 996, directly dissuaded me, is that I am too poor.
Later found that 2 models are also good. One is old Tom's tm680, one is Ducarlo's VN66, I have to say that tm680 is really in line with my idea of keyboard key arrangement, sinking arrow keys, easy to blind press, will not be confused with other keys, the knob in the upper right corner can adjust the volume, and there are three function keys below, which can be customized. It's just that the transparent shell and knobs are a bit lower. The tm680's casing is a bit too rounded and looks more like a toy, especially with a ring of lights around the knob.
Ducarlo's VN66, although there is no sinking arrow keys, but I personally feel that this value is much better than the tm680. The only regret is that there are only 2 custom buttons, it would be better if 3 were.
Finally, driven by the appearance, I finally chose Ducarlo's VN66, the keyboard is not good to use on the one hand, but it must be good, after all, most of the current mechanical keyboards are very easy to use. Then I logged in to the little yellow fish software and began to look for the right one, hoping to pick up a leak. Ducarlo VN66 this keyboard, a total of 2 versions have been launched, the ordinary version has three kinds of white gray black shell optional, of which gray and black are transparent shell, white is impermeable, and the positioning plate is steel. There was also a black gold version, black through the shell, but the positioning version of the use of brass material, but also attached a gold knob, the keycap is also used in red and black color, and the red samurai keycap a color match. I personally prefer black opaque shells, but unfortunately there are none.
After a few laps on the small yellow fish, I saw a very cost-effective, 360 yuan white shell version + shaft + keycap, and sold more than 100 keycaps and shaft bodies, which is equivalent to more than 200 to buy a kit, but it was started first. Finally looked at a black gold version, the kit and keycaps together 349, I think it can be bought directly. I didn't pay attention to whether there was still packaging at that time, anyway, I was ready for long-term self-use, and it didn't matter if there was packaging.
When the courier arrived, I found that it was still the whole box, which was a bit of a surprise. The original box, cable, and key puller are all there, and it is also the first time that the brass positioning plate is used, which is bright and dangling, and the black transparent shell is indeed very good-looking.
This keyboard color is not bad, this black transparent shell, do not see the scratches, there are no bumps in the scars, there are some scratches on the brass positioning plate, after all, the pulling shaft will have contact in the inevitable, but do not care, press the keycaps can not see anything.
The metal knob is also good, the design is different from the akko pc75b I bought before, it can be disassembled simply, and the interface can be used with the same interface. akko pc75b that I haven't unplugged, super tight. However, in the later stage, wait until 5075b arrives, it must be dismantled anyway, and it will be dismantled and compared to see what the difference in the structure is.
Although the upper shell is semi-transparent, the bottom shell is opaque, and the pure black bottom shell is even better if there is a pure black or gray upper shell. The switch is located on the right side, the lever type, slightly small, and the foot brace is also two-stage.
The upper shell is snap-on, can be disassembled and replaced, the official also has a fully transparent upper shell can be purchased and replaced, I am ready to buy a shell and then spray a new color myself. Silicone strips can be seen at the inner edges of the housing, which is also characteristic of the gasket-like structure of the Ducarlo VN66.
After disassembling the upper shell, you can see that the style of the brass positioning plate is the design of the gasket-like positioning plate, although this is not a serious gasket structure, of course, you can also change a PC positioning board and transform it yourself.
The satellite shaft is the seller's own replacement, I don't know much about the specifics, I did lubrication, and I felt ok. Under the positioning plate is the pore of the sandwich cotton, and the bottom cotton used under the PCB is also poron, which is nothing to say. The battery uses 2200 mAh, although it is not large, but it is enough to use the lights for 2 weeks without turning on the lights frequently. If you want to change to the gasket structure type, you can buy a PC positioning board at the official store, and then cut off the 2 pillars of the bottom shell to get the feel of the soft bullet. I had previously used a silent mechanical keyboard, Duga's Fusion, using a cherry's silent red shaft body, and quiet typing on a mechanical keyboard was still very rare. It felt good after the experience. However, because the cherry's silent red spring tone is a bit serious, and the feel is also a little meaty, plus Duga's Fusion also has a certain cavity sound, so the shaft body of this keyboard is ready to use a silent shaft. Now the silent shaft body is also quite a lot, and finally chose the silent peach shaft of Gaote, compared to Gaote's silent white, the color change shell is very good-looking, the price is a dollar a piece, the cost performance is still OK.
After all the shafts are installed, I feel that the color of the whole peach is quite compatible with the brass positioning plate, the tone is uniform, and it is quite comfortable to look at. But once you put on the keycaps, you can't see anything.
The Ducarlo VN66 supports RGB backlighting, which I think is quite bright, but I rarely use it, after all, the character is not transparent and it is useless to turn on the light. The alphabet area here uses the ktt burgundy axis in order to make a sound contrast video.

In my personal feelings, this brass positioning plate is similar to the ordinary steel or aluminum fixed feeling, it is relatively hard, or it may be that I use too few keyboards and do not feel a particularly obvious difference. This keyboard has a total of 66 keys and a knob, the keys support the function of changing keys, the default state is pgup and pgdn, but I do not use it often, changed to DEL and F2. However, 2 custom buttons are indeed a bit less, after all, there is no F zone. For the sake of good looks and the height of the keycaps, I replaced F2 with Home.
This interface is very familiar, and Akko's, are used in the Broadcom program, if a software can be universal it is more convenient, do not need to install multiple software, unfortunately not universal.
About the different materials of the positioning plate also have a little impact on the typing sound, because the PC positioning board that was bought has not yet been received, so let's talk about this brass first. Brass because of the characteristics of the material is relatively hard, all said that typing will be more brittle, but the use of silent shaft body still has an impact on the sense of hand, so I replaced the letter area with ktt's burgundy shaft, replaced the 58g double-segment spring. The feel is better than that cherry silent red, not meat, there is a certain bottoming feeling, and it is also very good to take pictures. The price of a dollar is not expensive in the silent axis. Personally feel that the value for money is still quite high.
For friends who like small matching columns, Ducarlo's VN66 I personally recommend, compared to the smaller 60% matching, with arrow keys and 2 customizable function keys and tuning knobs, the practicality is better. Without the need for the F ribbon, 65% of the keyboards are just right, and the Ducarlo design with separation is better than the design of the compact keys.
