Imran Khan: "Thank you to all pakistanis for protesting the regime change instigated by the traitors and supported by the United States. ”
A day after being ousted, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, led by Imran Khan, staged mass protests on Sunday to show its strength. Notably, supporters of the Pakistan's JeM party are protesting across Pakistan and around the world against the removal of Imran Khan as prime minister.
Imran Khan, chairman of Pakistan's Justice Movement Party (PTI), said on Monday that he thanked the people of the country for their support of the protests against his ouster. Imran Khan said, "Thank you to all the Pakistanis for their amazing support and affection in protesting against the U.S.-backed regime change instigated by the local Mir Jafar (the traitor) and putting a handful of bail-released docile crooks in power." This shows that Pakistanis at home and abroad have categorically rejected this. ”
Imran Khan said on another tweet, "Never before in our history have so many people spontaneously stepped forward to reject an 'import government' led by scammers." ”
On Sunday, Pakistan's Justice Movement Party (PTI) held rallies in several cities across the country to protest the party's chairman, Imran Khan, who passed a successful no-confidence vote the night before. Earlier, Imran Khan said today marked the beginning of a "freedom struggle" against his "conspiracy of regime change in foreign countries." To inspire his supporters, he said, "It is always the people who protect their sovereignty and democracy."
Imran Khan said, "Pakistan became an independent state in 1947; however, the freedom struggle against the conspiracy of foreign regime change begins again today." Sovereignty and democracy will always be defended by the people of the country. ”
Fawad Chaudhry, a spokesman for Pakistan's Justice Movement Party, in an interview with the media in Islamabad earlier in the day, also called for people to hold protests after Isha prayers. Imran Khan, he said, if he did not lead a massive campaign, he would be "a betrayal of the country's politics and constitution."
Pakistan does not welcome "importing governments"
Pakistan's Newspaper Dawn subsequently released a schedule of various protests planned for the city across the country, starting at 9.30pm, Pakistan's Dawn newspaper reported. Protests in the capital Islamabad started at zero, with supporters of Pakistan's Justice Movement Party (PTI) rallying together, waving flags and shouting slogans in support of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Protests also reportedly took place in Dubai and London, where supporters of Imran Khan and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have clashed at the latter's residence. A video of a Pakistani woman crying at a protest rally in support of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in London went viral on social media.
A video circulating on the social networking site Twitter shows the Pakistani woman crying and talking during protests in London to overthrow the government of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party. The woman said, "We want Imran Khan to come back, we are not beggars, they (the opposition) are beggars and their property is worth billions".
The woman said it would be a disgrace to them if Fazlur Rehman, chairman of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), was elected president and Shehbaz Sharif would become prime minister.
