On March 25, 1948, Yoshiko Kawashima was executed by firing squad at Peking No. 1 Prison, but just before the execution was imminent, Yoshiko Kawashima made a shameful request: "After I die, I hope to send my body to Japan for burial." Even the judge who followed the execution could not bear to look at it, and at that time he resolutely refused.
