Francesca Pasquali
Born in 1980 in Bologna, Italy
Francesca Pasquali's research interests are on organic and inorganic, natural and cultural artistic creation.
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna in 2006, starting with microscopic observations of the organization of living organisms, reconstructing their conformations in macroscopic images of nature, creating works and installations composed of everyday objects made of industrial plastic materials. The work is a contemporary remake of materials research and Dadaism, with both the Dadaist poetry of objects and the plastic energy of pop art. A three-dimensional rainbow is generated from the straw combination, excited by optical dynamic vibrations that challenge the observer's perception. Placing the ear near the work will produce a strong sound absorption effect. She invites the viewer to touch and interact with the work, to rethink the beauty of everyday life, thus becoming a participant in the work of art.
Using plastic materials from industrial waste, Francesca Pasquali evokes the tradition of women's weaving, creating a polymorphic and baroque work full of three-dimensional shapes.
