Designed by Natalie Dionne Architecture in Canada, the forest chalet surrounded by hemlock and deciduous woods is located in the beautiful scenery of Montreal, and was built using a mastery method to make the wooden house settle on the north rock, and its view and light are cleverly integrated in the terrain, realizing the dream of the owner and his wife to build a home in the center of nature.

It is a wooden house, of course, wood is an important element of this building, and the designer uses this to fully demonstrate the richness of natural materials from the inside out. The exposed roof structure is made of Quebec black spruce project timber, and the pre-treated and accelerated graying of the cedar is used to cover the façade.

Solid maple wood is used in the kitchen of the wooden house, such as the island table and dresser and stairs, and the various woods are harmoniously integrated with the polished concrete floor, cement wall and natural aluminum window, which helps to illuminate the abundant natural light. This wooden house embodies the architect's concept and attitude towards promoting the ecological use of renewable materials.
