Spanking injections are probably the childhood nightmares of every 80s and 90s children, and children now may rarely experience such scary moments.

Xiao Liang still remembers being coerced and seduced by her mother and forcibly taking off her pants when she was a child, and in full view of everyone, her delicate ass was pierced by the cold and ruthless syringe of the nurse sister, accompanied by a huge sense of pain, as well as indisputable tears and howls that resounded throughout the clinic...

But have you found that the ass injection that ming used to beat when he was a child, why is it rarely beaten now? Is it only children who can fight? Or is the butt needle eliminated and disappeared? First, let's understand the difference between different injection methods such as butt needles.

Differences between different injection methods

Common injection methods can be divided into these four main types: intradermal injection, subcutaneous injection, intramuscular injection, and intravenous injection.

●Intramuscular/intramuscular injection

Suitable for spanking injections, vaccination with COVID-19 vaccine/rabies vaccine/HPV vaccine, botulinum toxin injection, etc., the injection site is the deltoid muscle of the upper arm, the buttocks (gluteus major muscles/ gluteus muscles/gluteus minor muscles), the outer thighs (lateral femoral muscles), and the injection angle is 90° vertically.

● Subcutaneous injection

It is suitable for injecting insulin, vaccinating measles, etc., the injection site is the lower edge of the deltoid muscle of the upper arm, the outer side of the upper arm, the outer thigh, etc., and the injection angle is 45°.

● Intravenous injection

It is suitable for hanging needle infusion, blood transfusion, etc., the injection site is the elbow socket, the back of the hand, the back of the foot, etc., and the injection angle is 25 °.

● Intradermal injection

It is suitable for BCG vaccine, penicillin skin test, anesthesia, injection of water light needle (hand beating), etc., the injection site is the lower metacarpal segment of the forearm, the lower edge of the deltoid muscle of the upper arm, etc., and the injection angle is 10 °-15 °.

Why did I often get an ass injection when I was a child?

At present, there are clear conclusions that the lateral thigh femoral muscles are well developed at birth, the muscle layer is rich, and the large blood vessel nerves are deeper.

The muscle layers of the gluteal and gluteus minor muscles are also thicker and there are no coarser neurovascular vessels nearby; the gluteus maximus muscles are thinner in children and the sciatic nerve is relatively shallow, but after being able to walk, the gluteus major muscles will gradually develop and thicken.

At the same time, children's deltoid muscles in the upper arm are usually small and thin, not as suitable for needles as the butt.

Therefore, because the buttocks and thighs are relatively better developed and the muscles are thicker when they are young, it is easy to absorb the drug and is not easy to hurt the bones and vascular nerves, and it will be more often injected in the buttocks and thighs.

Children under 2 years of age, including newborns, should choose the lateral femoral muscle, gluteus muscle, gluteus minor muscle sequentially, small dose injection such as the upper arm deltoid muscle during vaccination, and so on after the age of 2 years, you can choose to inject the gluteus major muscle.

Why are butt needles rare now?

Because you grow up, you can go beyond being limited to the buttocks, and many situations need to be treated with different injections. Moreover, 2/3 of the needle injected intramuscularly will penetrate into the skin, and the pain is relatively strong.

What's more, there are also many safety risks to the butt needle:

●For example, when children have unbearable pain when spanking needles, they are afraid of tension, struggle and crying lead to difficulty in injection, and they are prone to local adverse reactions such as pain, redness, and suppuration.

●The butt needle is also not suitable for overweight or obese patients, and the needle can only reach the subcutaneous fat layer when injecting, but not to the gluteus major muscles, and there are certain medical risks.

●If the depth of intramuscular injection is not enough, the liquid retention accumulates, and if the intramuscular injection is repeated multiple times in the same area, it may cause intramuscular induration.

●Improper injection can also cause unexpected conditions such as sciatic nerve damage, lipid granulomas, infections, and even needle breaks in severe cases.

And the butt needle is not wanted to hit can be hit, when the injection site has an induration, skin infection, it is not suitable for spanking needles.

In addition, for most people, exposing the intimate part of the ass is somewhat embarrassing and shy, and it is not as convenient and fast as the arm injection.

Based on the above reasons, the current ass needle is basically relatively rare, but it has not completely disappeared, and it is not only children who can play, if you like spanking, the doctor can also help you meet this wish.
