With this weekend's double race kicking off, the Formula E World Championship will debut in Rome, Italy, for the fourth time, and the drivers will compete at the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR circuit at the Esposizione Universale Roma district, a few miles from the Colosseum. The track was built for the 2017-18 Formula E Championship in Rome and was extended last season.

The Rome race will kick off this season's Formula E Championship in Europe, and Nissan Formula E will also have its first typical block track of the season. The Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR circuit has a combination of fast and slow corners, complex road conditions and grip levels, and serious bumps in some sections, which pose a higher challenge for engineers and drivers.

Mr. Tommaso Volpe, Nissan Motor's Director of Global Motorsport, said: "We are looking forward to the upcoming two races in Rome. Last season, our team was far ahead of the competition in Rome. As an Italian, Rome station is quite intimate for me. When I used to live in Rome, I used to drive past the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR circuit on my commute. Of course, during the race, the riders were definitely much faster than I was! ”

"We will make the most of the next two races to validate the power performance of Nissan's formula two-generation formula e (Gen2), which has already helped us to achieve the double top ten in Mexico City. During the short break after the mexico City station, the entire convoy was working hard. We want to achieve better performance and results in the tight and fast schedule that follows. Mr. Tommaso Volpe added.

Gregory and Olivier Driot, team principals at Nissan e.dams, said: "Going back to the Eternal City is always a heart-wrenching one. We've seen a lot of great games here in the past. The weather here is changeable, for example, in last season's race, the weather was cold, the track was slippery, and we needed to make full preparations for the condition of the tires according to the weather. Nissan's e.dams team improved in their last stop in Mexico City and we are looking forward to winning more points at Roma. ”
