Look at Jiang Dingwen from 3 things: only focusing on one thing determines the fate of life

author:Mud-legged spectators

Chiang Kai-shek had the "Eight Great Kongs", of which the sixth rank was Chiang Dingwen. As a famous general under Lao Jiang, Jiang Dingwen did a lot of things for Lao Jiang and also participated in the War of Resistance. However, historical sources have commented a lot on Jiang Dingwen, and they believe that Jiang Dingwen is not very authentic and has a very bad reputation.

Why do you have such an evaluation of Jiang Dingwen?

Mainly because Jiang Dingwen did not understand what he did in these two things. Of course, from a human point of view, what to do is a self-choice, but it is precisely this choice that determines a person's fate.

01

The reason why Jiang Dingwen was appreciated by Chiang Kai-shek was not that both of them were surnamed Jiang, and jiang Dingwen and Chiang Kai-shek were both fellow villagers in Zhejiang, and this relationship played a certain role. But it is not enough to have fellow countrymen, and it is not enough to have the ability. And the ability to be discovered, what is needed is timing. So Chiang Should Thank a Soviet, And that man was General Garren, who had served as Chiang Kai-shek's adviser.

After the establishment of the Whampoa Military Academy, Jiang Dingwen saw the opportunity coming, and he gave up the post of military and combat staff officer of the Grand Marshal's base camp, which was considered a fat vacancy. But Jiang Dingwen was willing to be demoted to The First Phase of Huangpu as a district captain.

As a military adviser, General Garren was mainly engaged in the training of the Whampoa Military Academy, and he was also good at discovering talents and recommended Chiang Kai-shek to Chiang Kai-shek in a timely manner.

During a field exercise at the Whampoa Military Academy, Jiang Jun, who was watching at the time, immediately asked Jiang Dingwen, who was the leader of the district, several tactical questions. Galen was a famous Soviet general and was very proficient in tactics. In this series of questions, Chiang Kai-shek, who was standing on the sidelines, was also worried that this fellow countryman would not be able to answer. But unexpectedly, Jiang Dingwen skillfully answered Garen's question.

Garon was satisfied with Chiang's performance, and he said to Chiang Kai-shek: "This person can be reused." So Jiang Dingwen was favored by the old Jiang, and since then his career has also entered the fast lane.

However, Garon found out and recommended Jiang Dingwen, and Jiang Dingwen was not appreciative, and he also knew that Garon had recommended him to Chiang Kai-shek. In 1926, after the Zhongshan Incident, Jiang Dingwen and the Fifth Regiment surrounded the location of the Soviet Advisory Group and forcibly confiscated the guns of the Soviet Advisory Group.

And Garon belonged to this advisory group, and it was in this advisory group at the time, and he did not expect that the district captain who was at the Whampoa Military Academy would unceremoniously attack him. According to common sense, people who have helped you should repay with kindness, but Jiang Dingwen did not repay the favor and directly gave his dead hand.

Lao Jiang's loyal unit to him was called the "Whampoa Party Army" and made meritorious contributions in the Northern Expedition and eastern crusade. However, the Whampoa Party army also experienced dangers, and when it invaded Mianhu in the Middle East, the "Battle of Mianhu" that occurred was almost completely destroyed.

At that time, Jiang Dingwen was the commander of the first battalion of the teaching regiment, and he led his troops to attack the Lin Hubu in the mountains northwest of Mianhu Lake. During the attack, Jiang Dingwen slammed and lunged, but he did not expect to be shot in the chest and was sent to the hospital to recuperate.

Chiang Kai-shek immediately took out five thousand oceans to reward Jiang Dingwen and more than 10 other wounded officers. Later, in writing the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy' student record, the old Jiang praised Jiang Dingwen and others in the preface.

For Jiang Dingwen's rapid promotion, He Yingqin was dissatisfied with him. Especially in the Battle of Mianhu, He Yingqin even believed that Jiang Dingwen was not injured by a bullet, but was likely to be injured by a stray bullet, and did not believe in Jiang Dingwen's bravery. But later, after careful inspection, it was found that the bullets fired into Jiang Dingwen's body entered from the side. The appearance of this kind of injury can be judged to be beaten before the charge, or it can be said that it was beaten after the war. However, Chiang Kai-shek believed in his compatriot Jiang Dingwen, and when Jiang Dingwen was hospitalized and healed, he announced to him that he had been promoted to deputy commander of the first regimental lieutenant colonel, and soon transferred to the commander of the fifth regiment of the Second Division.

However, although Jiang Dingwen was able to fight, he was instigated when he encountered the Red Army, and he left behind "sequelae" and was scared by the Red Army.

In June 1931, the old Chiang launched the third "encirclement and suppression" of the Central Soviet Region, and Jiang Dingwen was the commander-in-chief of the Fourth Army at this time, and he led the Ninth and Fifty-second Divisions to attack the Red Army from the Nancheng area.

Old Chiang Kai-shek's purpose was to crush the Red Army to the east bank of the Ganjiang River, and then to eliminate the Red Army. At the end of July, Old Chiang found that the main force of the Red Army had shifted to the Xingguo area, so he asked Jiang Dingwen to lead his troops to move in the direction of Xingguo.

A unit of the Red Army disguised itself as the main force and pretended to move in the direction of the Ganjiang River, while the real main force successfully broke through the gap between Jiang Dingwen and Cai Tingkai on August 4.

After Jiang Dingwen was relieved, he surrounded part of the Red Army. However, unexpectedly, jiang Dingwen's 27th Brigade of the 9th Division was raided by the Red Army in Laoyingpan and suffered heavy losses. Jiang Dingwen ordered the 26th Brigade to support, but the Red Army blocked the reinforcement road, and eventually the 27th Brigade was annihilated by the Red Army, and wang Ming, the commander of the 81st Regiment, was captured. The 9th Division was Jiang Dingwen's unit, and after the 27th Brigade was annihilated, Jiang Dingwen was frightened.

But soon, the 52nd Division was raided by the Red Army, the whole division was almost completely annihilated, and the division commander Han Deloitte was captured, but Han Deloitte was very ghostly and escaped from the clothes of the wounded soldiers.

Jiang Dingwen did not expect that the Red Army would be able to fight so well, how could he not have imagined that the Red Army was poorly equipped and had no guarantees, so how could it defeat his well-equipped troops?

Jiang Dingwen did not expect that he himself was surrounded by the Red Army, and if it were not for Cai Tingkai coming to the rescue, he would have been captured.

Jiang Dingwen had been fighting a tailwind battle before, and he only took advantage of the situation and did not suffer losses; he did not expect that he would almost be captured the first time he "encircled and suppressed" the Red Army, which surprised him, and he developed a fear of the Red Army from then on. Although Jiang Dingwen's attack on Fang Zhimin's Red Tenth Army was successful after that, this fear in his heart could not disappear.

After that, Jiang Dingwen was very cautious in fighting the Red Army, and he also left the army to live in Shanghai on the grounds of illness, and he secretly told his friends that he planned to save some family wealth for the rest of his life. It can be seen that Jiang Dingwen was already "Buddhist" when he was beaten by the Red Army. But he wanted to retreat, but Old Jiang wouldn't let him retreat.

But then in a coup d'état, Jiang Dingwen once again gained the trust of the old Chiang.

On November 21, 1933, Chen Mingshu, Cai Tingkai and other 19th Route Army generals announced the establishment of a "people's government" in Fuzhou and sent a nationwide anti-Chiang Kai-shek, and Chiang Kai-shek hurriedly asked Jiang Dingwen to lead the army to suppress it.

Jiang Dingwen and Chen Mingshu and Cai Tingkai are old friends and have a good relationship. During the "1.28" Songhu War of Resistance, Chen Mingshu was the commander-in-chief of the Left Wing Army of the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, and Jiang Dingwen was the commander-in-chief of the Right Wing Army of the Shanghai-Song Railway. Cai Tingkai also saved Jiang Dingwen's life, and Jiang Dingwen himself admitted that without Cai Tingkai, he would have been captured by the Red Army.

But Jiang Dingwen is now leading an army of 150,000 into Fujian to duel with his anti-Japanese comrades-in-arms and life-saving benefactors.

If you are a sentient and righteous person, you may find a way to deal with things between your boss and your friends and benefactors. But Jiang Dingwen was not such a person, he was loyal to Chiang Kai-shek in order to be promoted, and he attacked JiaLun, let alone Chen Mingshu and Cai Tingkai.

Jiang Dingwen was not afraid to fight Cai Tingkai, what he was most afraid of was that the Red Army supported the 19th Route Army, and later received news that the Red Army did not contact Cai Tingkai. So Jiang Dingwen began to fight, first bribing Mao Weishou, commander of the 61st Division of the 19th Route Army, to defect, and then bribing local armed forces to harass the rear of the 19th Route Army, and finally defeating the 19th Route Army.

Jiang Dingwen is not a person who is really loyal to Chiang Kai-shek, and in his eyes, as long as he makes some money, he can retire in peace. During his reign in the northwest, it was during the War of Resistance, but Jiang Dingwen still used his power to make a fortune.

This is because he knows that Chiang Kai-shek has only one eye and one eye closed to the corruption of his subordinates, and that he has the saying that "only corruption is allowed, not worsened." As a result, Jiang Dingwen degenerated into a corrupt official, embezzled a lot, and even liked to gamble, he was still a regular visitor to the wind and moon field, and Jiang Dingwen won the name of "corrupt general".

Jiang Dingwen embezzled money in the northwest and also speculated and did business, accumulating a large amount of property. Lu Yilin, Jiang Dingwen's private accounting office, said: "The property of Mao Yuqin and Gu Fengxiang, the largest capitalists in the northwest, is only a fraction of Jiang Dingwen." It can be seen that Jiang Dingwen has accumulated huge amounts of property.

Most of Old Jiang's men had several wives, except for Wang Yaowu, most of the other generals had wives and concubines. Jiang Dingwen had a wife and two concubines, but he was not satisfied, and he also had a relationship with the famous actors of Xi'an Peking Opera, and even went in and out of the wind and moon fields in various places, and eventually got a venereal disease. At that time, Yang Huaitang, who specialized in treating flower willow disease, became Jiang Dingwen's personal doctor, specializing in treating Jiang Dingwen's venereal diseases, and worked until he was the chief of the military medical department. At that time, after the news came out, it became a matter of ridicule among the people of Jiang Jun. Even the Japanese army invading China painted a painting of Jiang Dingwen holding a beautiful person in one hand and taking money in the other.

Judging from these three things, Jiang Dingwen is not only an unfaithful and unjust person, but can even be said to be a corrupt and degenerate person, who can become a high-ranking general and is inseparable from his fellow countrymen. If a general is loyal to his master, he must first set an example. But Jiang Dingwen took advantage of the power given to him by the old Jiang to become corrupt. This phenomenon is not chiang kai-shek alone, Chiang Kai-shek's gang has long rotted to the bone, as the saying goes, "the upper beam is not correct, the lower beam is crooked." Old Jiang and his brother-in-law and other people were not clean, and his subordinates were not much better.

In 1944, after Jiang Dingwen's defeat in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he caused national anger and was dismissed from his post. If it weren't for old Jiang's fellow countrymen, I'm afraid he would have been brought to justice a long time ago. After that, Jiang Dingwen made money in business, and then followed the old Jiang to Taiwan. He died in 1974.

Judging from Jiang Dingwen's infidelity and injustice, it also determined his fate. And his fate also determined the fate of Old Jiang. There is no real ability to govern the country and the army, and I am a "crooked" person myself, talking about governing the country and the army in vain.
