It is reported that between October 2016 and September 2020, defendant Lu X, alone or in collusion with Zou X, defrauded several victims of a total of more than 4.87 million yuan (of which defendant Zou X participated in fraud totaling more than 380,000 yuan) on the grounds of superstitious activities or fictitious borrowing of money for the purchase and construction of houses.
Among them, on the grounds that they took the money to the bodhisattva to bless and get rich together, they would suffer a total of more than 3.58 million yuan on many occasions; they defrauded the victim Xu of a total of more than 3.58 million yuan; they defrauded the victim Wu X and Liu X of 320,000 yuan by fictitiously borrowing money to buy a house; and defrauded the victim Huang X of a total of more than 590,000 yuan on the pretext of fictitiously borrowing money to do feng shui to suppress wealth and ensure peace.
In addition, they also defrauded the victim Xiong of more than 80,000 yuan on the grounds that the "Queen Mother's Mother" could cure the illness of the daughter of the victim Xiong; they defrauded the victim Wang of 18,000 yuan in cash on the grounds that he had "operated" rao to settle the foreign debt and put the money next to the bodhisattva to suppress the blessing report; they defrauded the victim Wang of 18,000 yuan in cash on the grounds that putting the money next to the bodhisattva for three months could bless Hu's health and the business of the mahjong hall; and defrauded the victim Wang of 10,000 yuan on the grounds that borrowing money and putting it around the bodhisattva to seek wealth for the boss.
The court held that defendant Lu X, alone or in collusion with defendant Zou X, defrauded a number of victims of property totaling more than RMB4.87 million, an amount of which was particularly huge, of which defendant Zou X participated in the fraud for a total of more than RMB380,000, a huge amount, and his conduct has constituted the crime of fraud.
Recently, the Donghu District People's Court of Nanchang City concluded the case in accordance with the law, and sentenced defendant Lu X to 15 years' imprisonment and Zou X to 4 years and 8 months in prison for fraud, and fined 200,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan respectively. The two defendants were ordered to return compensation for the economic losses of Xu X, Huang X and other victims totaling more than RMB4.8 million.
