The leaders of Dar Khan Ula Province expressed their support for the proposal put forward by the Russian side, conveyed the situation to the relevant departments, and exchanged views. Asyev, CEO of the Eastern Alliance Gas Pipeline, said: "This is our first meeting with the leaders of the local government of Mongolia. We introduced the preliminary plan of the natural gas pipeline survey and research project and exchanged views. The local workforce is fully qualified to participate in the initial construction of the pipeline. In addition, the construction of pipeline projects can also provide guarantees and supply of building materials from the local area. Once the gas pipeline is put into operation, the people of Dalhan city will be able to become the first consumers of the natural gas pipeline, thus becoming an eco-city. ”
The gas pipeline will pass through Dar khan Ula province, occupying 1 km wide and 38.3 km long. However, throughout Mongolia, it passes through 6 provinces and 20 counties. These include the provinces of Selenge, Darhan Ula, Central, East Gobi, Gobi Altai and the city of Ulaanbaatar.
According to the Russian side, the natural gas pipeline through Mongolia will supply natural gas reserves from Russia's eastern Siberia and supply gas to Harbin, Dalian, Beijing, Tianjin, Nanjing and Shanghai, which have the largest and most developed Chinese for 30 years. In the future, it will also be connected to North Korea, South Korea and Japan to supply gas to other Asian countries with economic development, which is of high strategic and economic significance.
