Fan Dachun
Fan Dachun, the mother of Zhang Dingcheng, one of the founders of the revolutionary base area in western Fujian. In the summer of 1936, Fan Dachun was arrested while performing a mission, and the Kuomintang reactionaries threatened to induce her, soft and hard to force her to persuade her son to "surrender", Fan Dachun was awe-struck by righteousness, and rejected the enemy: "This is something that can never be done." You killed me, the old woman, and you don't want to get any benefit!". Refusing to surrender, Fan Dachun was tortured and was not released until western Fujian achieved cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communists. For the revolution and the liberation of China, Fan Dachun's family has sacrificed the precious lives of 5 relatives. Fan Dachun's selfless love for the revolution inspired Zhang Dingcheng and other descendants to adhere to the revolution unswervingly throughout their lives, and the former servants and successors were liberated.
Located in Xiacai Village, Caixi Town, Shanghang County, the Mao Zedong Caixi Township Investigation Memorial Hall is a thematic memorial hall that vividly shows the important revolutionary practice activities of Mao Zedong and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation in Caixi, covering an area of 28,950 square meters. There are 10 exhibition halls in the exhibition hall, through a large number of precious cultural relics, materials and photos, introducing Mao Zedong's investigation in Caixi Township and the revolutionary history of the Caixi people during the Second Civil Revolutionary War. In 2020, the "Caixi Women" special exhibition hall was built in the old site of the investigation of Caixi Township, which comprehensively displayed the touching deeds of the gradually awakened Caixi women who braved difficulties and actively participated in the revolution during the period of the agrarian revolutionary war, and sent their children and wives to their husbands and three thousand children to the front. They actively participated in various political movements, undertook the heavy responsibility of supporting the army and superior subordinates, producing support, building the Soviet district, and consolidating the rear, fully supported the revolution and construction, promoted caixi's various work to be in the forefront of the whole Soviet region, and made outstanding contributions to Caixi becoming the first model district and model township in the central Soviet region. In 2021, the Mao Zedong Caixi Township Investigation Memorial Hall was named the "National Women's Patriotism Education Base" by the All-China Women's Federation.
