The famous Northern Song Dynasty minister Sima Guang's fame is mainly because of his great contributions, and the most brilliant thing is the great work of chronicle historiography that he has painstakingly compiled in 19 years, "Zizhi Tongjian", which is listed as the best writer of ancient Chinese historians along with the "History of History"; another point is that the idea of "sincerity, virtue, frugality, and honesty" that pioneered the work of exemplary life has now become an inexhaustible rich mine for the culture of honest government in Xia County. Therefore, he worries about the country and the people, speaks bluntly, advocates hardships and simplicity, opposes buying and selling official positions, and covers his body roughly in his daily life and eats enough food; today, as a model for us to fight corruption and promote honesty, live frugally, and resist extravagance, it is particularly worthy of our study and reference.
