At present, South Korea's Hyundai Motor Group has successively launched hyundai Kona Electric and Ioniq 5 and other pure electric vehicle models, and has achieved good results in new energy vehicles around the world. In March 2022, Hyundai Ioniq 5 was selected as the 2022 UK Annual Wind Car, and the Kia EV6, a subsidiary of the same group, was also selected as the 2022 European Annual Wind Cloud Car, which is enough to show that Hyundai Motor Group's pure electric vehicle models have a good advantage in the global pure electric vehicle market.
Hyundai Motor Group announced in its latest plan that it will build an upgraded version of the E-GMP in 2025 , the IMA platform, which can not only standardize the chassis, but also the battery system and motors, and this architecture can be applied to all currently visible BEV pure electric models.
At the same time, the IMA platform can also increase the range, compared with the current modern Ioiq 5, the range of electric vehicles built through the IMA platform is expected to increase by more than 50%.
In addition, according to the relevant report released by Hyundai Motor Group, Hyundai Motor Group has developed five electric motors with variable lengths and combined inverters and transmissions into a powertrain product. Among them, four powertrains will be equipped with an 800 V battery system, and the other eS powertrain will only be equipped with a 400 V battery system.
