E3 Electronic Entertainment Show 2022 announced cancellation

The Electronic Software Association (ESA), the agency that organizes E3 Electronic Entertainment, today sent an email notifying top marketing representatives in the gaming industry that it has canceled E3 2022. While officials did not explain the details of the show's cancellation, the planners wanted to "reintegrate and come back in 2023 with a larger event."
ESA canceled the E3 show in 2020 also on the grounds of the epidemic, but E3 2021 (the 26th edition of the electronic entertainment show) was successfully held virtually and online on June 12-15, 2021.
Of course, the cancellation of official events will not affect the spontaneous activities of fans, and foreign media expect that many "E3 Week" programs will be held separately in June. In addition, Microsoft, Google, and Apple will also hold their developer conferences or networking events, and Nintendo, Ubisoft, and Xbox should do the same.
Game Show Cologne 2022 is expected to take place as scheduled
Compared to E3, the organizers of Gamescom have announced that Gamescom 2022 will take place at the Cologne Exhibition Center from August 24 to August 28. Due to the impact of the epidemic, after two years of pure online mode, this year's exhibition will finally return to offline and adopt the method of online + offline synchronous holding.
Gamescom will kick off on Gamescom opening night on August 23, followed by Professional Visitors, Media and Content Creators on August 24, and to ticket holders four days in advance.
In addition to the main commercial and entertainment areas of the conference, Gamescom 2022 also promises to have "extra sections", including Cosplay and others.
Officials also announced the "Gamescom Goes Green" program, which aims to make the show "carbon neutral in the medium to long term" by reducing carbon dioxide emissions and through carbon offsetting.
