Wendy's, a well-known fast food chain in the United States, has officially launched Wendyverse, a virtual world built within the metaverse community. Starting April 2, users with Meta Quest 2 can log in to Horizon Worlds, a Meta-Universe platform, where they explore Wendy's virtual restaurant, play various interactive games, and shoot with virtual Baconator.
It is understood that Wendyverse has built two virtual venues, namely Wendyverse Town Square Central and Wendyverse Partnership Plaza. At Wendyverse Town Square Central, visitors can enjoy virtual meals and see the latest Wendy's merchandise, and at Wendyverse Partnership Plaza, users will find The Buck BiscuitDome, which can play basketball games or launch virtual costumes.
Carl Loredo, Chief Marketing Officer at Wendy's, said: "We are delighted to bring a whole new way of accessing our fans by launching Wendyverse in Horizon Worlds at Meta and taking it to the next level. ”
According to Wendy's, virtual restaurants and arenas are just the beginning of a larger vision for The future of Wendyverse, where the company will continue to experiment with immersive technologies and their presence in the virtual world. At present, many fast food companies have shown interest in the virtual world market, such as McDonald's announcing last month to open a virtual restaurant where consumers can order takeaway food.
