According to Polish media outlet xgp.pl, Resident Evil Village featured the words "It's included in the Xbox Game Pass subscription service" on the Xbox Store's quick preview page.
The wording is now gone, xgp.pl think it could be some sort of rare store bug, or it could be that some careless employee hastily launched the game description, which will appear in the XGP Game Library soon.
xgp.pl lists its own two-point analysis. The first is that Mass Effect Legendary Edition has a similar situation, before officially entering the XGP game library, the cover of the game is briefly marked with the XGP logo.
The second is the first anniversary of the release of Resident Evil Village, capcom and Sony's contract to "prohibit the provision of Resident Evil Village in a competitor's subscription service" is about to expire, and now is a good time to enter the XGP game library.
Finally, xgp.pl also reminds readers that the above is only a guess based on this store error, and everything is subject to the official information on Xbox and CAPCOM.
