FIFA released the latest edition of the women's football world rankings on March 25, with the United States, Sweden and France ranking in the top three. The Chinese women's football team rose three places to rank 16th, ranking 4th among Asian teams.
The last edition of the Women's World Rankings was announced on December 10 last year, when China ranked 19th in the world and 5th in Asia. Since then, the Chinese women's football team has defeated strong opponents such as Japan and South Korea, won the Asian Cup championship, and the ranking has been improved.
