In the first quarter, Brooks hit the first goal on a jumper, Brown threw a throw in response, And Bain and Brooks hit three-pointers to give the Grizzlies an 8-2 start. Durant scored on a jumper, Jones threw a shot, Drummond dunked, and Jackson made a dash. Irving and Drummond chased points in succession, and the Nets achieved a comeback. Irving's jump shot stopped the bleeding, Brooks hit two free throws, Durant hit a three-pointer, and Brooks scored four straight points.
