Fighting continues in Mariupol, a major military town on the southern coast of Ukraine, and in the past two days, as the sweeping advance of the Russian Chechen forces and the DPR coalition has accelerated, a large part of the eastern part of Mariupol has been retaken from the Nazi forces of the Azov battalion.
Civilians in Mariupol, who had been trapped in the fighting for three weeks by the Azov battalion, were rapidly withdrawing from the dangerous zone with the help of Russian troops. In addition to the hundreds of buses provided by the Russian army and THE DPR, the Russian army also allowed citizens to drive themselves and evacuate in an orderly manner along the roads controlled by the Russian army in the direction of Berdyansk and Melitopol. According to the front-line DPR troops, as of March 17, with the support of elite forces such as the Russian Chechen forces and the GLU special forces, the main forces of the Donetsk (DPR) People's Army had compressed the Main Forces of the Ukrainian Army and the Nazi armed forces of the Azov Battalion into the coastal defensive area with the Houqiao as the strategic center. Once the Russian army gains control of the rear bridge, it will immediately divide the defensive area of the Ukrainian army's comprehensive forces in the above area into three parts, and then it can concentrate on breaking through them one by one. After nearly 4 days of brutal street fighting, the city of Mariupol was about to be destroyed, and the Russian army quickly interspersed with the division tactics, so that some Azov battalion combat teams completely lost contact with the command, and the remnants of this part of the Azov battalion were thrown into weapons and disguised as civilians, trying to escape among the refugees and avoid being punished by the Chechens.
The Nazis in the Azov battalion committed many evil deeds, and they provoked the Chechen forces at the beginning of the war, and in public and private, the Chechen troops would not easily spare every one of them. Chechen forces involved in the battle for Mariupol collectively vowed that none of the Azov battalion pups would be allowed to leave Mariupol alive. The city was about to be destroyed, and now it was time for the Chechen troops to fulfill their oath. Russian media reported that on the road leading to Berdyansk and Melitopol, Russian Chechen troops are setting up cards to check the refugee convoy, and the occupants of each car must be checked one by one, and as soon as they find people with Nazi tattoos, they will be arrested immediately. The person in charge of the DPR checkpoint said that they were closely inspecting the civilians evacuated from the city of Mariupol, mainly to check whether they were carrying weapons, whether there were traces of long-term wearing of military equipment, and whether there were tattoos of certain organizations, to prevent members of the Ukrainian army units such as the "Azov Regiment" from escaping the encirclement in muddy waters.
