A watch that can dive to the horizon below 10,925 meters in the Mariana Trench

author:Daily watch appreciation

In 2019, a watch called "UltraDeep" dived with the submersible to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, witnessing the birth of the human deep diving world record of 10925 meters. In 2022, Omega applied this watch diving technology to the new "UltraDeep" 6000 meter watch, which was officially released to the public. With a case of 45.5 mm, a thickness of only 18.12 mm and a water resistance of up to 6000 meters, it is a pioneer in the diving watch industry.

Ceramic bezels are available in bright black, bright orange and electro-blue, with a blue-black, gray-black gradient dial and a white dial. Both hands and hour markers are made of white 18K gold. The watch is worn with a rubber strap or an O-MEGASTEEL bracelet. The 5-level titanium badge on the back of the watch is engraved with the "sonar" logo and seahorse motif, as well as the words "Diver's watch6000 m for saturation diving" (saturated diving watch 6000 meters) to highlight the watch's certification as a saturated diving watch.

The other six models are made of Omega's newly developed O-MEGASTEEL material. This new steel alloy material has excellent mechanical properties, bright white color, high gloss, and excellent corrosion resistance, non-ferromagnetism and low sensitivity, which once again highlights Omega's leading position in the field of high-tech materials.

The watch follows the design of the prototype "manta ray" lugs and asymmetrical streamlined case, with a black-and-blue NATO striped strap. The case features a new crown protector that provides protection and tightness to the crown when diving into the deep sea.
