The national regional major epidemic prevention and control treatment base set up in the Jinyinhu Branch of Union Hospital (Phase II Project), with a total construction area of 206,000 square meters, was built by the general contracting company of China Construction Third Bureau. Four new buildings are built, namely the infection ward building, the anti-epidemic combination ward building, the medical laboratory and clinical research center, the logistics support building, etc., including two national laboratories (tumor invasion metastasis and biological targeted therapy laboratory, molecular imaging key laboratory), two provincial laboratories (Huazhong University of Science and Technology Bioinorganic Chemistry and Drug Laboratory, Biological Targeted Therapy Research Laboratory), sample bank, linear accelerator, post-installation, direct plus planning room, nuclide treatment area, decay pool, etc. It is planned to add 1,000 new beds, including 800 beds of flat-epidemic combination and 200 beds of infection (including ICU beds).
The national regional major epidemic prevention and control treatment base (Phase II) project of Jinyinhu Branch of Union Hospital adopts EPC mode construction. It is understood that the EPC model is efficiently applied in the construction of hospitals, and through the integration of the whole process and the linkage of all professions, it solves the problems of high degree of specialization of medical special projects, complex construction processes, high technical requirements, and difficult project management.
