Guizhou: "Park Province" to do a good job in mountain tourism "big article"

Mountainous Guizhou was once "trapped by mountains" and "impoverished by mountains", nearly 93% of the area is mountainous, and most of them are karst karst areas. But it is precisely because of the underdevelopment of farming that Guizhou has retained a large number of pristine natural beauty and is known as the "Park Province". In recent years, Guizhou has made every effort to do a good job in the "big article" of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains", taking the rapid development of infrastructure such as highways as an opportunity to continuously transform disadvantages into advantages in the development of tourism. Since 2015, Guizhou has successively held international mountain tourism conferences, which has become the highlight of the development of characteristic tourism in China.

On September 26, Guizhou held the 2021 International Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports Conference and the Provincial Tourism Development Conference in Tongren City, where Fanjing Mountain is located, which became a breakthrough in the development of mountain tourism in Guizhou in the "14th Five-Year Plan".

Strong features of mountain sports

On September 21, in the final of the 14th National Games Mountain Bike Men's Cross Country Race held in Huangling National Forest Park in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province, Guizhou's Mi Jiujiang took the lead in crossing the line and won the championship, and Chen Keyu, another player of the Guizhou team, won the bronze medal. Behind the good results is the successful practice of Guizhou's vigorous development of mountain outdoor sports in recent years, and Guizhou has laid a solid foundation for the selection and training of talents by independently holding a series of mountain sports events. According to statistics, at present, 87 outdoor projects in Guizhou have been selected as China's sports tourism boutique projects, and 15 were newly selected last year, ranking first in the country.

"The State General Administration of Sport and other departments vigorously support the integrated development of Guizhou's sports tourism industry, support Guizhou to create a national sports tourism demonstration zone, and support Guizhou to build a sports tourism demonstration project." At present, many projects such as the 'Running Guizhou Mountain Run' series have been selected as national sports industry bases, national sports tourism boutique events, and Golden Week sports tourism boutique routes. Li Jianming, deputy director of the State General Administration of Sports, said when talking about the rapid development of Guizhou's sports tourism and outdoor sports industry.

The data shows that in 2020, the number of sports tourists will account for more than 20% of the number of tourists in Guizhou, which will become an important force in promoting the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry structure.

In June this year, Guizhou Province issued the "Action Plan for Building a Strong Province of Sports with Mountain Ethnic Characteristics", which will develop sports cluster focusing on folk sports, road running and cross-country, mountain biking, extreme sports, cave exploring, car camping, rafting and tracing, etc., strengthen the safety management of event activities, and cultivate brand events with international and domestic influence.

It is understood that at present, Guizhou has held a large number of mountain-themed sports events such as the Guiyang International Marathon, the Ziyun Ge conghe International Rock Climbing Festival, the Super 100-kilometer Run around Lei Gong Mountain, the Fan jingshan International Road Bicycle Invitational Race, and the Loushan Guanhai Longtun Mountain Outdoor Challenge, laying a good foundation for the development of mountain tourism in Guizhou.

Forest rehabilitation promotes transformation

As one of the national ecological civilization experimental areas, Guizhou has a forest coverage rate of 61.51%, a forest area of 162 million mu, a 100% excellent water quality rate of major rivers, a proportion of 99.4% of the days with excellent air quality in cities above the county level, an annual average temperature of about 15 degrees Celsius, an average altitude of about 1000 meters, and is at the most comfortable height of the human body on atmospheric pressure, and the advantages of forest health resources are obvious.

Wu Shenghua, vice governor of Guizhou Province, introduced that Guizhou has 93 forest parks, 71 scenic spots, 78 forest health care bases, and a high negative oxygen ion content in the air.

In recent years, Guizhou has improved the standards of forest health care bases, improved forest health care infrastructure, improved service levels, enriched forest health care products, strengthened forest health ingredients, forest food, beverages, health care products research and development, processing and sales, and deeply excavated traditional health culture, forest culture, flower culture, diet culture, homestay culture and local culture.

At present, Guizhou has compiled standards and management measures such as the "Guizhou Provincial Forest Rehabilitation Base Construction Specification" to ensure the healthy development of the forest rehabilitation industry. At the same time, it has also developed a number of products with Guizhou's ecological characteristics such as forest landscape health, forest environment experience, leisure and fitness, forest culture perception, science education, medicinal and food homologous health care, forest hot spring recuperation and so on.

The transformation from short-term tourism to long-term health care is an important starting point for the development of mountain tourism in Guizhou. According to statistics, in 2020, the province's forest rehabilitation (pilot) base received nearly 1.1 million health care personnel, and the comprehensive income of health care was nearly 10 billion yuan. More than 8,000 farmers are employed in the health care base, and the per capita monthly income is more than 2,500 yuan.

Rural revitalization adds impetus

"After the inn is repaired, we will run the inn well at home and don't have to go out to work." Luo Kejun, who had been wandering for many years in houshan Ancient Town in Jinsha County, finally made up his mind to return to his hometown to start a business. With the Guizhou Jinsha Asia Mountain Racing Challenge being held here, the remote town is becoming increasingly lively, and more and more tourists have come to hike two years ago, Luo Kejun said, and the business of the inn is not bad.

According to reports, 77 counties (districts) in Guizhou Province have hot spring resources, with large water quantity and good water quality, which is a veritable "hot spring province". In addition, 724 villages in Guizhou have been included in the list of traditional Chinese village protection, ranking first in the country, realizing that villages and villages have beautiful scenery and can be idle everywhere.

Among them, located in the Wanfeng Forest of Xingyi City, Xia Na Grey Village, the magnificent scenery and ethnic customs have attracted a large number of tourists, and many investors have also come to join the rural construction and share the ecological dividend. Liu Tao, the operator of a special homestay Wushe Hall from Shenzhen, said: "Surrounded by mountains and rivers, like the peach blossom source in the book, it is a good place to develop the homestay industry. Now that the facilities outside the village are getting better and better, and the number of tourists is increasing, I have opened two shops, and there are plans to open a third one next. ”

Taking advantage of the endowment of mountain tourism resources, all parts of Guizhou have combined tourism and rural revitalization, forming a dotted mountain tourism highlight, and constantly promoting the rapid development of Guizhou's tourism industry.
