Since childhood, he loves Danqing and likes to collect. At the age of 16, he went to the countryside during the chaos of the first noon. In 1988, he was hired as a researcher by the Center of the Inner Painting Art Research Institute of the China Academy of Arts. In 1991, he was transferred back to Tianjin.
