On March 11, the Fifth Session of the 13th National People's Congress closed in Beijing. The congress approved the government work report and the work report of the NPC Standing Committee. The conference passed a decision on amending the local organic law, and Xi Jinping signed a presidential decree to promulgate it. The congress adopted decisions on the number of deputies to the Fourteenth National People's Congress and on the issue of election.
