The fire of justice will burn away the weeds of this world that harm women

author:New book pusher

This book has been in my hands for a long time, and I have been reluctant to turn from the first page to the last, and I know that this is bound to be a difficult reading journey, and I have to re-understand the shocking story of Room N. Before turning the book, a scene of women being treated unfairly appeared in my mind, and what I picked up was all kinds of sexual assault cases, all kinds of road murders, public obscenity, all kinds of PUA in the open and in the dark, the body was possessed, and the spirit was controlled. But when I got to Room N, I was shocked again.

The fire of justice will burn away the weeds of this world that harm women

The Room N case refers to the case of setting up multiple secret chat rooms through the social platform Telegram, using threatened women (including minors) as objects of sexual slavery, and sharing illegally taken sexual videos and photos in the room. Looking at the encyclopedia's profile, it is enough to know how appalling and unheard of this case is unheard of, especially after seeing the details of the case being disclosed one by one. Beginning in 2018, the suspects began posting sexual exploitation footage in chat rooms for members to view and collect dues. The perpetrators impersonated the police to coerce the victims to take nude photos, then threatened the victims with these photos, committed sexual crimes against the victims, and filmed the crime process and posted them to the chat group under the membership fee system. The case involved minors, the large number of victims and the involvement of public officials. Naked and systematic crime, disguised identity, powerful possession of women's flesh, and spread on the Internet in the form of video footage, of which 16 are minors, the youngest victim is an 11-year-old elementary school student (I thought of "Suyuan", but the truth is that this is far more terrifying than the movie). As many as 74 women have been victimized through south Korean police clues, and as many as 260,000 users have joined the room to share illegal communications, with an average of 1 in 200 people watching, so much of the new crown spread has not reached this range. Such a large group of people watched the videos, but none of them reported it, and no one made the matter public. It wasn't until the author of this book appeared that the event had a chance to be made public.

They are the "fire" and "Dan" of the "tracking spark" that uncovered the truth of the Room N incident, in this book they introduce the voices of the victims of digital sexual exploitation crimes in two parts, the whole book is presented as much as possible in the form of news reports, showing objectivity, once it becomes the form of prose, diaries and other forms, I think the psychology of these two college students may collapse again, and the objective description can better understand the real thoughts of these victims, record the whole process, and restore the truth and process of the event. The second part interspersed is the dialogue between two college students, telling their personal growth experiences (their growth experience is the origin of this courage to expose, really admire these two, without extraordinary bravery, perseverance, adherence to and confirmation of inner principles can never do this, extreme darkness, uncertainty of the future and other difficulties have not stopped them).

Fortunately, all this is over, on April 8, 2021, South Korea's "Room N" created Byohon Kyung Wook in the first instance and sentenced to 34 years in prison. On June 1, 2021, a South Korean court pronounced a second-instance judgment on Dr. Cho (real name Cho Joo-bin), the main culprit of "Room N", and sentenced him to 42 years in prison. On July 8, 2021, the Central District Court in Seoul, South Korea, pronounced a first-instance judgment on "Room N" accomplice Nam Gyeong-eup and sentenced him to 17 years in prison. These criminals have all been imprisoned, the efforts of the members of the tracking group have not been in vain, and there will be no more victim women being admitted to Room N, only more lawbreakers will enter the cell where the law is held.
