The Omron CP1L/H-E PLC is connected to the host computer via Ethernet
Omron CP1L/H-E PLC does not have its own communication serial port, such as to communicate with the host computer, upload download program, you can use the network cable connection, the use of Ethernet way to communicate. Requires a CX-P software version of 9.4 or above, and a CX-One software integration pack version number of Ver.4.25 or above.
First, the direct connection mode
Open the CX-P software and select "Auto Online" → "CP1/CP2 Built-in Ethernet Online" in the "PLC" menu bar.
In the new window, select "Direct Connect", click "Connect", the software prompts if you need to upload the program, select "Yes".
Second, use the HUB connection method
The host computer and PLC are connected to the HUB or switch through the network cable, and the host computer can form a local area network with multiple PLCs. The IP address of the host computer and the PLC must be in the same network segment, only the address number at the end is different.
The IP address of the PLC is set as follows:
1. In the software programming mode, open the "Settings" below the project tree, set the "IP Address" in the "Built-in Ethernet" card, such as "192.168.250.2", and the end number "2", which is the node number, and fill in the consistency below. The subnet mask is "255.255.255.0".
2. Then click "Options", "Transfer to PLC" to transfer the set parameters to the PLC.
3. Click "Edit" under the "PLC" menu → "Reset CP1/CP2 Built-in Ethernet Port", PLC is offline, and re-select the connection method.
4. Double-click the PLC number on the project tree, re-select "Network Type" as "Ethernet (FINS/TCP)", and click the "Settings" button on the right to set the network.
5. In the "Drive" card, select "Ethernet-HUB Connection", click "Browse" on the right side of the IP address bar, find the IP address of the PLC you just set, and click "OK".
6. Click "Online Work" in the "PLC" menu, if there is no error, the connection is successful.
