Westerners do not understand the meaning of family affection for Chinese, that is the shock of the Spring Festival, is the wordless waiting and companionship under the lights of thousands of homes.
Sister Tao worked as a maid for 60 years, accompanied Roger's family for three generations, and from a young age, she carried him around, bought him Coke soda that his parents did not let him eat, and began to favor him from an early age. Until he grew up and entered middle age. The length of time has long gone beyond the master-servant relationship, blood relationship, as the saying goes, blood is thicker than water, 60 years of time, is better than everything.
The relationship between Sister Tao and Roger has long been sublimated into family affection.
Roger's time with his parents, the interaction with his parents, and Sister Tao are too far apart. Sister Peach knew all of Roger's preferences, knew his personality, and knew everything he had experienced from birth to growing up. There is probably no one in this world who knows and cares about him better than Sister Tao.
Family affection is the ultimate destination of all feelings in the world, good love, friendship is actually finally transformed into family affection, it is not a moment of vigorousness, is through the passage of time, day by day companionship and warmth condensed into the essence.
The most precious thing for people is time, and time is gone forever.
Where you waste your time, who are you spending your time on. They have left a deep mark in your life and become a part of your life.
The best state between people is that you are together, you can say whatever you want, or you can not talk without talking, without appearing unnatural and embarrassing.
There is such a detail comparison in the film.
Roger's mother returned to Hong Kong from the United States and stayed at home at night. One moment he said that Roger could not watch TV so loudly, and the next he said that Roger could not turn the newspaper so hard that it disturbed her rest.
Although it is also very natural, there is nothing wrong with small things, but in fact, it is full of pickiness and discomfort, and the devil is hidden in the details. Roger and Sister Tao will not be like this when they are together, he can do what he wants to do, what he wants to say, everyone respects each other, understands and understands each other, and the friction in the details has never existed.
When Roger returns from work, Sister Tao will sit in front of the window and wait for him until she sees him, and then rush to turn off the lights and go to sleep, not wanting him to know clearly that he is waiting for him. Because on the surface she is a servant, she is not a mother. Cute and with some sadness and helplessness.
One of the most important things about feelings is that they are unique and preferred.
No matter how good a person is to you, if he is like this to everyone, then this goodness is actually meaningless.
The only thing about affection is that you can only have one parent, and your parents can only have your child.
The uniqueness of love is that you love only one person in your life.
The only thing about friendship is that among so many friends, I am the most compatible with you.
Uniqueness gives a sense of sacredness and heaviness.
Roger's family has so many children, why Sister Tao prefers Roger alone.
There are so many people in the world, why only Sister Tao has been with Roger for the longest time.
If you don't like it, you won't have preference, if you don't fit, there will be companionship, and time is actually the best thing that can test all emotions.
The world is bustling, all for profit; the world is bustling, all are for profit.
However, the benefits are scattered, only companionship and affection, which have nothing to do with this.
