Most Hollywood producers are not household names, but Jerry Brookheimer is an exception.
He began his acting career in the early 1970s, rising to fame with blockbusters such as Beverly Hills Super Detective, Top Gun and Lightning Dance in the 1980s, before rising to fame with the National Treasures film series.
But during the filming of King Arthur in 2004, actor Max Mickelson apparently completely forgot who Brookheimer was. This funny story was recently brought to light thanks to a post featuring an interview with Max Mickelson.
At the beginning of the conversation, Uncle Mai zi said that he felt difficult to remember other people's names and faces. The beginning of the story is quite warm, Uncle Maizi sees a new person with a camera on the set, but no one goes up to talk, so he goes to introduce himself and welcomes him to join. As a result, the other party said, "We have already met, and I was present when we were casting." Uncle Maizi said again, "Oh, you're the photographer," and Bruckheimer left without saying a word.
Two weeks later, Uncle Mai saw a man with a camera and walked over to greet him and introduce himself, and that person was still Brookheimer. Uncle Mai Zi couldn't believe that he had once again forgotten who his big boss was in two weeks. You can tell he's the kind of guy who's willing to approach strangers and show friendliness on the set of the movie, but the ending is hilarious.
British actor Ray Winston had stood in the distance stunned as Max Mickelson sincerely introduced himself to Jerry Brookheimer twice. As Winston warned him, such behavior would lead to him never working with the producer again, and it was.
Since playing Tristan in Alfonso Cuarón's King Arthur, Max Mickelson's career trajectory has skyrocketed. Two years later, he joined the sequel to the James Bond film, Casino Royale 007. He has since been involved in almost all of his most famous film IPs, including Hannibal, Marvel's Doctor Strange, and Star Wars: Rogue One.
More recently, he took the place of Johnny Depp to play Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3, which is currently in production and is currently scheduled for release on July 15, 2022.
But the next time fans see Max Mickelson will be his "Chaos Walk" with Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley, which will be released on March 5, 2021.
