The Vienna Women's Shelter launched a new campaign around International Women's Day this year to encourage women affected by violence to obtain help, while also drawing attention to the fact that "violence against women" is a global problem that violates human rights.
In 2021, 31 women were murdered by (former) partners in Austria. Regardless of age or social class, these crimes have one thing in common: the indescribable suffering of women in our society that no one knows.
